McFarlane DC Multiverse

Painted on knees looks like 2 sets of knees. Looks like she's wearing double tights. Reminds me of X-Factor Jean and Krakoa Jean with her hospital shoes / gogo boots-leggings.

Got my first 3 89 Jokers from EE, one of which was the pink / platinum one. It's cool enough where I'll likely keep it even though I didn't initially like the look of him in pictures. I didn't realize what it paid homage to: the old figure where you could put him in the freezer and his face would turn a normal fleshtone color. The 90s did have some cool effects for kids toys.

Ahh so I got the three new Batmans and they are all great. Damian is fun and on-model and the fabric robe works better than I thought it would. The “Justice League” Batman is great saturated colors and feels very “late 80s/early 90s pre-Knightfall” and I dig him. And Hush? Well, they just nailed the colors on this one, just perfect down to the darker inside of the cape! And two fists. Absolutely understood the assignment.

Damn, do I want to buy Hush again.

(yes)

I entered the EQL launch for the platinum collector edition figures. If I win, I don't have to hunt them down. I haven't entered a launch in some time or won many recently, so hopefully I have a good chance. If I win great, if not then oh well.

I wonder about the HB licensing... they can't be that hard to work with, right? Maybe it comes down just to what Todd likes or wanss to get into and he doesn't dig the HB stuff. 🤷‍♂️

Personally Space Ghost, Herculoids and Mighty Mightor were some characters I was hoping S7 would do as Ultimates, as that seemed a more likely fit... but if McFarlane made 'em, I'd buy 'em

Seems like Todd has had the Looney Tunes/Hanna Barbera licenses at various times in the past. Maybe as part of an overall Cartoon Network deal. Don’t think it ever really took off and he certainly didn’t do any of the more super heroic type stuff we might be interested in.

I have the Wilee Coyote Batman that came out.

Are we forgetting about this?

I’ve wondered about this for a long time. Why isn’t there more merch for the Cartoon Network? Expansive. All encompassing. Dexter, Johnny Bravo, and the Power Puff Girls standing side by side with Bugs Bunny, Tom and Jerry, and Underdog. The only thing I come up with is that CN isn’t that relevant anymore, thus no real demand. Or that the rights are convoluted and complex.

As to a more superheroic approach using classic HB characters, that could be a lot of fun, if there’s any demand, like…

Johnny Quest
Frankenstein Jr.
Impossibles
Space Ghost
Dino Boy
Birdman
Galaxy Trio
Herculoids
Mighty Mightorr
Samson and Goliath
Sealab
Jana of the Jungle

Plus all associated characters. And I’m sure I missed a few. Same scale and style. Add in Thundarr for that Kirby flavor.
