McFarlane DC Multiverse

Maybe that's it- the hair. I don't dislike it, per se, on the deluxe, but I think it looks more natural, or better suited to the sculpt, with the hair on the regular one.

Also ironic that the card for the regular edition shows the sword she doesn't come with. I'd have switched the character art- sword pose with Krypto for deluxe, hands-on-hips floaty for regular. But again, I'm just nitpicking.

Supergirl is one of my favorite DC things so they got me for all three.

Superman for all intents and purposes was just raised a human. Conceptually I like the idea that she spent 16 years on her Homeworld so she has a context for everything that she lost. While at the same time her baby cousin is now twice her age and a Messiah on the new planet.

Very few stories really tackle that well, but thankfully the story the movie is based on does.

Their CW Supergirl, to me, looks less like the actress than the movie one does.

I'll probably get the Supergirl movie figures when I see them in the stores. I'm sure they'll hang around like the Superman movie figures. Didn't really need to pre order these. Out of the 3 Supergirl figures, I'll probably get the deluxe figure since it has puppy Krypto. The coat isn't worth it and I'm not crazy about the smirk face. I only need one face and the faces with the deluxe figure look almost identical.

I'll get the Melissa Benoist figure when I see it. It would have been nice if they had made both outfits for Melissa. I'll look for the Brandon Routh Superman but skip the Heat Vision Henry Cavill figure. They should have included a grey haired Brandon Routh head to go with the Kingdom Come figure, It could have passed for the Arrowverse Superman that he played.

kinda agree with Xavion in that the other ones aren't the best, but to be fair, stoic faces always look a little off to me, since they're so void of life and character. Millie definitely does have a unique look to her, so I can see how her likeness may be a bit difficult to nail. I'm just being nitpicky- always finding something to complain about. 😅
It doesn’t help that McFarlane is.way behind the curve when it comes to utilizing face printing technology. The sculpts themselves may actually be amazing.

Jesus fucking H Christ on a space hopper, who the fuck sculpted that movie Supergirl head? A blind man? With no arms?

I swear Todd's entire fucking line looks like the work of a meth head trying to interpret every DC character through a Frank Quietly lens or something, the sooner it ends the better.

Lobo turned out so good!!!

This is exactly what I was hoping for!!! (Eschewing the bike for Aquaman 2 sea horse… it’s a space horse now if anyone has a problem with that)

As for Millie, those head sculpts are pretty much on the money to me. I wasn’t very familiar with her other than House of the Dragon. But she was very good.

Personally, I always thought Isabel May from 1883 woulda been a great choice as Supergirl too.

Lobo and Supergirl are nice figures in a vacuum. But you mean to tell me they, for some reason, decided to make 3 different versions of the same Supergirl, and I can buy them all and STILL be missing out on a set of close fists?

3 versions of the same figure, releasing at the same time, with only a few face/cape swaps is beyond silly.

Lobo’s bike looks insanely cool. No interest in modern movie figures but what an awesome sculpt.

Went to my local Gamestop & they had 4 Black Canary figures. 3 regular & 1 platinum. I picked up the platinum since I ordered the regular bundle. I hope I can find another platinum, one for JSA & one for JLA. The face still looks like MTG.

I think my favorite part is across all my social media, everyone picks a different Republican woman of note.

Any way, not a good look. The times we live in.
