McFarlane DC Multiverse

Just when I thought I was all set on more and more batmen, there's Damian. I gotta have that one. I've had the heroclix version of him on my desk for like 13 years.

I’ve had a Batman story in the back of my mind that I’d love to see happen. It would of course have to be a big Multiverse/Hypertime song and dance where Thomas Wayne from Flashpoint meets Damian Wayne from Bethlehem who then recruit Helena Wayne from Earth 2 and Bruce Wayne from Earth Prime on a super secret mission to keep the universe from unwinding or some such bull💩. It would require the combined talent of Geoff Johns and Grant Morrison to write it with rough pencils by Jim Lee featuring finished art by Dan Mora.

Or I can at least put all the figures together. 😜

Is Injustice Gang Batman supposed to be the "hardlight" version from the Morrison era, the one Kenner did in the Total Justice/JLA line? If so, it is a shame they didn't make the figure translucent. That I would have been interested in.

I've been using Protech stands for for 20+ years at this point, and just expand/create peg holes with a drill as needed. I guess I'm just a creature of habit, although I have recently started using Can of Beam stands that support swappable peg sizes.

I just find the McFarlane stands too big and they don't work with a lot of my figures due to the peg hole sizing being too small. Maybe someone wants to trade a bunch of McFarlane stands for McFarlane trading cards...
I use the Can of Beam stands for my Marvel Legends, GI Joe Classified, and Star Wars Black Series. For the NECA stuff, I just find the McF stands work better than anything.

If I had any of the trading cards, I'd definitely trade you for the stands! Unfortunately, I never keep those....in fact I rarely even remove them from the package before throwing the whole thing in the recycle bin.

Todd’s got four preorder dates up on Entertainment Earth. 11th, 12th, and 13th of this week. All unknown items. Unlikely to be DC related because we usually get about a week’s notice for anything DC. The 18th of March is also unknown. He’d have to announce whatever it is this week if it’s something for DC. At least that’s how it usually worked in the past.

Ugh, is there anything more boring that repaints/variants of Batman?

I'll likely try to pick up the Injustice Gang version if I can find it, because of course it's a Platinum. The others are a pass.

The Hush 2 Batman looks good but the last thing I need is just another Batman costume. I HATE soft goods so that's never going to get me to re-purchase something. If anything, it's a deterrent for me.

I’m assuming a fabric cape on Hu2h Batman. Which is my preferred and favorite Bat costume. Really of all time. This is the replacement for the original Hush Batman. If he was so damn big in relation to other characters. 🙄

Interesting all around. Regarding the B&R Ivy and Freeze- I just wonder how they'd be different from previous releases. Freeze might just be getting the Dark Knight Rises Bane treatment, and a straight re-release for the folks who didn't complete the BAF before (and skipped the blacklight version). I'd love to see him come with his wings if nothing else, but I'm not expecting it. Ivy, I don't necessarily see him doing another version of her- at most, he may just throw in her coat, which I suppose would be welcome. At least a vine or two.

I'm not expecting B&R Bane at this point, and that's fine. Would've been nice to have a complete villain collection, but the dude is just a glorified henchman and Bane in name only, really. There's been some pretty gnarly customs out there that I may spring for if nothing else. If it comes down to having to choose between Bane and Neeson Ra's, I'm picking the latter.
