McFarlane DC Multiverse

Innnnteresting. I wonder if him including Simmons Gordon means we're seeing him too? Maybe as a Platinum to Oldman Gordon? The Batfleck and Battinson make me think maybe they're deluxe theatrical editions? Not sure what else could be done with them other than straight re-releases. But I'd take another Battinson, at least. I still only have the original side-eye version, which I've been looking to replace for a while.

Wonder how Bane will compare to the first Megafig we got, other than maybe just a repaint.

Put on closed captioning in the Youtube video and then click the cog icon and turn on auto translate and set it to English. Most of what he says gets translated pretty well.

Basically he's just musing about what if anything they'll change, limbs, different faces, putting him in black shorts etc.

Apparently a fair number of these are 2pks, Red Lanterns, 66 Batman & Robin. I'd collect Batman and Robin 66 but I don't know if they're going to have much time to do many villains so then what's the point.
Welll that works just great! Thanks for learnin' me something!

Another week goes by and still no new DCM announcements or sale dates. The “big news” for after Toy Fair has still not been announced. The promise of a monthly McFarlane YouTube TV show has already failed with no episode in February and still nothing announced for March. Rumors continue to stack up while new product remains woefully deficient. As does any new information. WTF is going on Todd?

However, Todd is attending both MegaCon and WonderCon this month. Maybe some illumination then. We’ve got ten months left Todd. Make the most of them.

Yeah, after such a hot start to the year, I was ready to be bombarded with new product. I’m interested in a lot of what’s been leaked, but time’s a wastin’.

I think that the big announcement that was teased was the QMx Q-Figs acquisition.

I'm really not concerned about the lack of announcements. Todd has shown a tendency to make the announcements just days or weeks before figures are available, which means usually after the shipments have already hit the States. We know that shipments were paused for a bit and all of the uncertainty around tariffs has probably made everybody a little more cautious.

There's enough products on the leaked lists that I expect a very busy six months or so to begin pretty soon. The issue with that is that it will mean a lot of money to lay out all at once.

I was very happy to pass on the live action stuff that was just released and wait patiently for comic figures. Those were an example of something that got announced and available for sale online at the same time that they were already hitting retail. This seems to be the new model for McF.

I'm spending plenty of money on other lines in the meantime, so I have no complaints.

The production dates of all McFarlane figures are printed on the bottom of the boxes. Theatrical Joker was produced/packaged on 010526 and on store shelves 022326.

I don't think we have anything to worry about with that kind of turnaround.

Also, have we heard any updates on the Margot Harley Kickstarter? I just checked the page and I don't see a release date, but it ended 127 days ago so with as fast as McFarlane produces, I hope she's soon!

No updates, but the original FAQ said production for the figures is about 6 months. So I'd imagine in probably a month or two, we'll start getting updates, assuming all goes well. I didn't order the Batmobile, but it feels like that one took a little longer to come out. I'd imagine it was much more involved than the Harley campaign, though.

I did see the Theatrical Editions at my LCS today, but marked up to $50. Much as I want Joker, I'm cool with a little patience and saving $15 bucks. They looked pretty good, though. My only gripe is that Joker had maybe a bit too much flesh tone showing through. Looked a bit strange. But otherwise quite nice! I'm eager to finally have the correct pistol for the Bank Robber Joker after all this time.

Oldman Gordon is gonna make me want to track down the Interrogation Room Joker all the more, though. Wish he wasn't so pricey secondhand.

I know Green Lantern was supposed to come earlier so I’m wondering if he switched plans once he knew he had more time. Cause that’s a pretty heavy wave even if there’s no tv version.

It'd be nice if they're going to re-release that BMR Catwoman with a different head and slightly tattered suit if they could include some DIFFERENT HANDS! and a fully unmasked head. I'm not buying a 3rd Selina Kyle Catwoman just for the full Michelle Pfeiffer head, since this will be the partly exposed hair version.

Pretty disappointing round of rumors for me personally this time. I don’t buy alien Lanterns or anything live-action. Don’t need another Bane or battle damaged Superman and Doomsday. Kelley Jones Batman isn’t exactly a priority unless he’s the Red Rain version. Leaving me with the Neal Adams Batman. Which if done right could be my last Batman figure ever. Also the first time to my knowledge that anyone has ever done a specifically Neal Adams Batman. A grail for many in the DC collecting community. I can’t imagine there’s much more after this. In fact I wouldn’t be overly surprised if the Adams Batman is Todd’s final DC figure.
