McFarlane DC Multiverse

the batman '66 line by mcfarlane has made a few versions of burt ward robin, but its been a few years since the main versions came out. the most recent one is the frozen one from a year or so ago... the rarest is a platinum unmasked version which had a very limited release
it IS the 6 inch line... not 7 like the majority of mcfarlane... but they did make adam west, along with alfred and several villians etc

As far as I’ve heard, Burt Ward/Robin has not been rumored. That’s not definitive, but I do try to keep on top of announcements and rumors regarding DCM .

Lynda Carter/Wonder Woman and John Wesley Shipp/Flash are rumored to be in the works.
I would listen to this dude.

He is our entrenched reporter 24/7 for all things McF.

Hello all, I’m a newbie here, and with the line ending soon, I have a question. Although it’s been mentioned many times in the past, does anyone know anything credible about McFarlane releasing a Burt Ward Robin? I figured they made the ‘66 line with Batmobile, made a CE version of Adam West, and RE-made the car for the larger scale. Why then wouldn’t they release Robin as well? I know there’s a lot of teams that will never get finished, but there’s no Boy Wonder more instantly associated with Batman than Ward. Personally, while I’d like a Lynda Carter, and I’ll grab that GA Vigilante ( since when will Mattel realistically ever get to making HIM?), that Robin would cap my McFarlane experience most satisfactorily, so long as he scales correctly with the West figure. I’m trying to be careful what I wish for.
Welcome to the boards, JohnBerry! You're in good hands here. I can't add anything new to the conversation that others haven't, but I agree- a Multiverse Burt Ward Robin to compliment the 66 Batman would be great. But also, knowing me, I'd then want Multiverse versions of all the villains too. 😅 But if you haven't gotten the regular 66 carded Robin, that's a pretty good figure too. Not to Multiverse levels, but decent enough.

Thanks for the insights. I’m well aware of the ‘66 line, got quite a few of them myself, as well as the Mattel line when they were offered (although I missed the Mattel Batmobile at retail). It just didn’t make sense to me that McFarlane would make a Multiverse West (though it came out at the same time as the Batman movie collection), promote it as toy of the year, make a Multiverse scale car, and NOT make the Robin to go with it all, just not with the stupid scalloped cape the ‘66 line figures all had.
As I wrote earlier, outside of a very few figures, that Robin would be a nice finale for my interest in the line. Then I’ll sit back and wait to see what Mattel comes up with. If they scale with the DCUC and Legends, I could still be happy.

I like the trading cards. 🤷‍♂️

On the other hand, I could do without the stands, I already have stacks of them. I fully admit they are a more valuable accessory for an action figure, but these stands take up too much space. When stands are needed, I use smaller ones.
Interesting, as those stands are my favorite thing about the line. They work beautifully for NECA figures, in particular (far better than the stands NECA makes, in fact). When I inevitably get rid of many of my McF figures, I'll likely be holding on to the stands. I've even considered buying some off eBay just to have extras.

I use the McFarlane stands for my NECA figures too! They're the only ones I've found so far where the peg actually fits snugly enough into the hole. I like that they're not too chunky so as to eat up space, and they blend in well enough (though, to be fair, I have mostly black shelves). I have zero evidence to support it (I was terrible at math and any science involving math), but I'm convinced that the circular shape helps keep the weight evenly distributed and keeps them from slipping on any one side (if I'm incorrect in that, let's just pretend I got it right so I can feel smart). They're not foolproof, but they're the best options I've found so far.

Oh, I definitely agree that they help keep the weight evenly distributed! If you are incorrect on this, so am I!

I've been using Protech stands for for 20+ years at this point, and just expand/create peg holes with a drill as needed. I guess I'm just a creature of habit, although I have recently started using Can of Beam stands that support swappable peg sizes.

I just find the McFarlane stands too big and they don't work with a lot of my figures due to the peg hole sizing being too small. Maybe someone wants to trade a bunch of McFarlane stands for McFarlane trading cards...
