McFarlane DC Multiverse

Missed the chase Zatanna. Got my arrival notice at 11:36 but got busy at work and didn’t check my e-mail for a couple of hours.

It’s just as well, honestly. I ponied up for the Elongated Man platinum because I’ve never had a figure of him in that costume and always wanted one. I didn’t particularly care for the platinum version of Zatanna. I was only going to pick it up because…well…it’s Zatanna. $50 is a pretty hefty price tag for “just because” though.
 
I don't understand, don't we already have a Batman 89? It came with the Batmobile, then was single packed, so now we're getting another?

Where's the 89 Joker that I'm probably going to buy at least 5 of?

In for at least Black Mask and Ivy, questionable on Brainiac and elf suit Sinestro.
 
I missed the first Question release (like, Maxwell Smart level missed it by THAT much; I found the wave at Walmart and Question was the only one gone), so it's nice to see I'm getting another chance at one.

Also, Todd out here hastily releasing popular female characters like he's got a term paper due tomorrow and just kinda skimmed the reading tonight. Maybe I have a shot at a McFarlane Katana before the line is done.

That's likely based on the comic version. Last time they did that with the movie Superman, they added some shading to the figure.

Dunno what shading they're gonna do on a black figure, but thanks for the clarification. Them making Billy Dee a chase version makes me not even want to bother with "chasing" that figure at all.
 
As we start to wind down our time with what McFarlane has left to produce any DC figures I want to address two things:

I’m mad we never got a silver age Superboy and Supergirl

I’m eternally grateful for the fact that Todd never produced a Mon-El figure. ‍

I'm surprised that he never did a Jor-El or Superman's mother on Krypton figure. I'm sure once the line ends people will start thinking about all the things they were surprised we never got.
 
I don't see myself wanting anything for the Batman 89 comic besides, of course, Billie Dee Two Face which is the chase. That was one of the few wants I had before Todd looses the license and even though it's pretty niche, I knew it stood a chance of happening because Batman. But again......it's the chase :(

That comic Catwoman's look is the same except she has purple thighs, so her and Batman will probably be straight up reuse.
 
Bought more Multiverse figures over the last couple weeks than I expected. I've stayed away from this line as a general rule (except for Fourth World characters), but with Cosmic Boy coming out (and Saturn Girl rumored as well) I needed a Superman to match. So I got both the Silver Age and the Authority versions (because I like that costume). Also got Lightning Lad, but that figure sucks. I've got no attachment to the Threeboot Legion, and even with Garth's head on that body, the build and costume are completely wrong to stand next to Cos and Superman.
