Mattel DC Figures

I'm happy to have the DCUC Killer Moth and the DC Collectibles animated Klarion and Teekl figures (came with an Etrigan the Demon) in my display. I generally don't love animated figures, but the Klarion one has worked for me. I would love to see these characters revisited by either McFarlane or Mattel at some point.

I'll take any and all Zatannas that don't require me to buy a pack-in figure, until such time as Zatanna is given a cute but sinister familiar in a trope that I have in no way stolen from shows like Madoka. (I think it should be less catlike and more rabbity, though.)

I'm more of a Magic DC fan than a specific team fan, so really any magic users Mattel makes are okay with me, whether they be Zatanna, or Enchantress with the witchy look, or some hypothetical third option that they're free to make after a properly witchy Enchantress.

I like Zatanna and Constantine best as friendly exes, as depicted here:

Magic/supernatural DC is my favorite side of DC as well, and while I gun for Shadowpact, it's especially for the individual characters it'd get. Granted, I tend to lean towards their pre-Shadowpact designs with exception to Nightshade. All pretty important players, yet none have figures. I also really want lady Eclipso. (I also want them to let Eclipso have the Loki gender sauce, but that's never happening with DC as it is.)

Zatanna and Constantine as exes is really funny.

Definitely. My man is far overdue for another figure. There's only been, what, 3 or so figures ever made? DCUC, Spinmaster DC classics, and an Imaginext minifig? I suppose 4 if you count the more Charaxes-ish figure from The Batman cartoon.

We definitely need a return to the more whimsical villains. Todd sort of started to get there, with figures like Kite Man, OG Clock King, etc. But Killer Moth definitely needs a figure- maybe a comic-based Condiment King as well.

Gentleman Ghost, too. Still surprised Todd didn't go for him- he's that perfect sweet spot of cool, creepy, and kooky that Todd seems to love.
He's got a LEGO.

The Killer Moth talk brought back memories.

Eric "Cornboy" Mayse and Killer Moth super fan Scott Rogers. Scott lobbied Mattel and the Four Horseman for a Killer Moth figure in DCUC and sometimes dreams come true. This is from SDCC 2009:

I wonder if Mattel would ever consider bringing back this guy:

Eh. Probably not. ;)

I've got my own reasons for loving Killer Moth. He was in one of the first comic books I ever read. Justice League of America number 35. "Battle Against the Bodiless Uniforms!"

Sigh. Not so awesome. That shitty little prick.

HA! Speaking of shitty little pricks . . .
🤣

I love villains who are absolutely ridiculous but take themselves super-seriously. Killer Moth is my favorite example of this. Batman’s rogues specifically are generally severely mentally ill, and it wouldn’t make sense for them all to be like cool edgelord murder-clowns and hardcore disfigured gangsters. We need the “yup, this guy is just NUTS” villains.
This is how I feel about Kite Man. A guy with a goofy gimmick that takes himself as a serious villain. A “kid who never grew up”. I’m a fan of the character, and would love to see him turn up more.
