I'm curious about this as well. Does Kyle's appointment point toward 1/10 or 1/12?

While 2027 feels like it may as well be 2080, it provides them a decent runway to blow us out of the water from the start. I promise, I'm keeping my expectations in check. The opportunity is there, though.
 
I've never understood the level of outright hate for that guy. Did he run over everyone's dog or something? He's been out of the game for years at this point.

Disliking what McFarlane Toys has done with the DC license is not about hating Todd. Why folks dislike what McFarlane Toys' has done with DC have been expounded upon at nauseum, so I'm not going to repeat those reasons here, but let's not reduce all of that to a dislike of the personality that is Todd McFarlane.

None of us really knows why Mattel lost the DC license, unless you have some insider information? Anything else is just speculation or rumors that are assumed to be facts over time.

Mattel made a lot of lousy decisions in the 15 or so years they held the license. McFarlane Toys has managed to make a lot of lousy decisions in the 5 years it has held the license. Neither is perfect. Moving from one to the other is going to bring it's share of good and bad, I don't think anyone is deluding themselves into thinking otherwise. Does it work out better in the end? Only time will tell, and each collector will have to form that opinion on their own.

Okay, look--I like Dave. I have never had a problem with Dave personally, and he has been decent to me.

But that said, there is a reason that Dave is only doing Kickstarter projects and stuff now. Is he talented? Sure. Crazy talented. But he's also stubborn and stuck in the ways of the past.

He was also at Nacelle--shortly. There's a reason for that. There is a reason he isn't at Mattel any longer. There's a reason he isn't at Hasbro. Or Valiant Comics (who tried to get a line started). Or really any other major company out there. There are reasons--and not all of them are the fault of who he's working for.
 
2027 is going to be a tough sell for me. I don’t know how interested I’m going to be in starting yet another DC line at 60. I need to see something I haven’t already seen at least half a dozen times before to get me on board. Something like a Levitz/Geffen era female Legionnaire for example. Something that tells me that they’re serious about building an expansive DC Universe, not just the usual suspects.
