Masters of the Universe: Origins

Wow, they're really stretching the word 'Deluxe' there on Beast Man. He's 7 millimetres taller than He-Man and comes with one accessory: DELUXE!

Did you see a height listing? I missed that. I assumed he was much bigger based on display photos when they debuted the line. I figured they were doing a similar pack out to their Thundercats line: three regular sized figures and one larger (Lion-O, Cheetara, Battle Cat-Man, Skel-Ra). Skel-Ra is significantly larger than the regular figures. Then again, Battle Cat-Man is also larger, but only slightly. I hope Beast Man isn't that kind of large. In the second wave, Panthro reused that BCM body. Tygra and He-Man share Lion-O's body.

No no, that's a fake number. I was just being flippant about companies using the word 'deluxe' to justify increased pricing where I don't feel it's warranted.

I really like the 200X designs but I am realizing a bunch of house repairs this year really crushed me. I've been faithfully preordering Origins since wave 3 and I'm holding off on starting another branching off of the line. They're cool, but I think I'm tapping the brakes for now.

I'm tapping the breaks on the 200X too. I will continue to get whatever they offer in the regular Origins or Filmation Cartoon Origins. But I don't need to be buying these characters all over again, for a 3rd time, in the same line.

Honestly, I'd prefer they handled the 200X line like they did their first releases of 200X He-Man and Skeletor. Not cartoon based but vintage toy based. And hell, at least that first 200X He-Man actually came with his sword, shield, and axe. This 200X Cartoon He-Man just has the sword.

The 200X Cartoon figures look good don't get me wrong. I love anything He-Man. But I just don't need to do this.

https://a.co/d/9fB8g1Y Multi-Bot up at Amazon.

Another vintage checked off. Has Mattel had a panel or something at NYCC? I haven't heard much from them.

Wow. That's crazy Multi Bot just went up for pre order with absolutely no word from Mattel about the item previously. I'm glad we're getting him though. I wonder if this is an Amazon Exclusive or if it will end upon places like BBTS?

I hope Dragstor isn't far behind. I tend to associate these Horde cyborgs together. I don't exactly neeeed Blast Attak, but I'm sure there are collectors who want ALL of the vintage characters made. Obviously I preordered Multi-Bot. But I'm still campaigning for Two-Bad. I have an extra Cartoon Collection one that I haven't opened just in case. But I want one reflecting the vintage sculpt.

Multi-bot is such a weird figure... once again, my time travel wish is to sit in and see what kind of drugs were in use at Mattel back then. I love MOTU but there is no way there wasn't SOME kind of recreational substance involved in some of these designs.

I pre ordered 2 Multi Bots. So, we have Multi Bot and Dragstor coming soon. That just leaves 6 in Stonedar, Blast Attack, Two Bad, Blade, Saurod, and Gwildor for the regular figures. Then Rotar and Twistoid and the Laser Power He-Man and Skeletor if you want to add them.

I would buy all of those but only have to have the 6 regular figures. I HAVE to have them to feel good about this collection, life, and the fate of humanity.

I can't believe Two Bad didn't just come out back when they were releasing the toy version for Origins at retail. I feel like he's pretty major in most MOTU fans eyes.
