Masters of the Universe: Masterverse

Mantenna is one of the biggest Masterverse figures in a single card package. He has a fun execution of the eye gimmick, but his range of motion in the knees and ankles isn’t as fun. Can’t get into deep bends.
 
I hate Walmart. . . Just got the notice that they canceled my vintage Teela just like they canceled my vintage Man-At-Arms and just like they will probably cancel my vintage Mer-Man.

Are there any other way to get these figures for retail prices? I keep checking eBay but it looks like they are running $30 plus over retail after shipping and I just cannot justify myself spending that much on them. Meanwhile rows upon rows of vintage Faker hang on all the Walmarts by me just mocking me.

I ordered him yesterday and I have decided this is a reason to make sure I never throw out his box. I'm going to frame that.
 
All my Walmart preorders are canceled for this line. Nice way to make sure I just give up on their cartoon-inspired line. It's also super annoying that I seem to get an unrelated marketing email from Walmart right after a cancelation - hey we didn't ship the thing you wanted, but we have new stuff in our tech aisle! Fuck you, Walmart, I'm waiting for BBTS to get your lost overstock.
 
I got a second notification of my Teela order being canceled. Apparently I must have ordered two. It is supremely annoying that they do this all the time. It'd be a different story if I could actually find these in a store. None of mine carry MotU anymore.
 
I got the Teela Cancellation as well. Only Mer-Man remains. They have cancelled Man At Arms, Teela, and Origins Samurai He-Man all in about a months time it feels.

So, I'm sure Mer-Man will be cancelled soon.

Also, I wonder if Mantenna's small balls pop out of their sack to hypnotize people like his.................you know, I won't do it. Not here. Not in a movie year.

My personal favorite MOTU canon is the original 1982 DC miniseries, and this vintage collection is basically a perfect match for those. That said, I ain't gonna track down Mer-Man and Teela - Teela's not different enough, and honestly the New Eternia Mer-Man is incredible.

Okay good I'm not the only one who thinks so highly of New Eternia Mer-Man. He's easily one of my favorite figures in the entire line.
 
Although if I'm being honest, I also find the one-eyed Old Man Mer-Man (Old-Mer-Man and the Sea?) really fun to pose, too. He's not as sexy as New Eternia but he's a lot of fun.
