Marvel Legends Maximum Series

I was in denial that I'd ordered Maximum Deadpool to get Doop but I guess 2025 is just full of bad action figure life choices based on various degrees of depression at time of purchase. But I will not deny that Maximum Deadpool is a big upgrade from the version of him I liked best already (I always preferred the one from the X-Men wave way way wayyyyy back when). I swear every single time i've bought a version of Wade I've resented him but I gotta admit this is a fun figure.

I still hate the tax we had to pay to get a Doop though.
 
He looks better in that shot. But I'm sure like almost every other character they can fudge the scale cause people draw things different.

He's still too small. Lol.

I like Deadpool. I think it's the best one they've done. I've seen collector whining online that it should have been the classic look, but we did get that with Bob. This is basically that figure with serious weapons and the more contemporary suit.

At this point, my idea of Maximum is not Hasbro's, though. Certainly not at 66 Canuck. If the guns and Co-op make this Maximum, what the hell do you for Wolverine?

Albert parts and Elsie Dee, but that's not gonna happen, so... Question stands.

Should have had more heads. Why does Spider-Man get the eyebrow expression but this one doesn't, it's his trademark at this point. And I still hate these swords. I excuse the swords on the Sasquatch release because to me, it seems an obvious throwback to that original figure with the knife spring action.

But we don't need that thrown back to anymore. It really feels like they've scaled back on katana after deluging is with them.
 
So, I had Maximum Deadpool pre ordered at the $49.99 price point. But so much stuff was coming in at once I had cancelled it since I have so many Deadpools, and figured I'd just get it for $49.99 later.

Well, before i ever got it, the price raised up from $49.99 to $57.99.

It sucked that I had missed it at $49.99. But then, i went in a local comic shop today, and they had a few Maximum Deadpool's. And they were charging the OG price of $49.99.

I bought that bitch immediately!

Now that I have it, I have to say, while it is very similar to other Deadpool Marvel Legends figures, there is enough new and upgraded about it, and enough accessories that I feel this was worth getting. It is definitely the best Deadpool I have now. It's a really cool looking figure. But I'm so happy I was able to get it for $49.99

LOL, I know. I was thinking that too. Hasbro has gone so bat s*** insane with their prices that I was thrilled to pay $50 for 1 figure, that's very similar to other figures I already have that cost $20.

But hey, it's better than $57.99

No matter how stupid it is, and no matter how dumb I am, $49.99 is still better than $57.99
 
I think Max. Deadpool will end up below $49.99. Hulk didn't hold the line on the Maximum price. Black Friday is coming after all, pair that with % off and "dollar amount" off sales that coincide with "Buy More / Save More (in theory)" sales. This tacking on $8-$10 willy-nilly isn't flying with me. Hasbro's doing it but I'm not seeing many others hopping on the "slit our own throat" train on MSRP sales. If we're talking $60 for singular figures (Doop is essentially an accessory in my opinion) I'm fine doing without. I may LIKE something, but very few things are "must have immediately" from Hasbro for me nowadays. The Lingjihun Turtles are about $85-$100, sculpted to the umpteenth degree, come with 2-3 extra heads, weapons, effects, 4-5 sets of hands, pizza pieces, mouser parts, and turtle phone accessories, a hat for a disguise and soft goods trenchcoat, and I'm supposed to get excited for "hey everyone, it's the green turd with eye bags some of you have been asking for, 'member him!?!?"
 
I got Max Deadpool despite the fact I don't like Deadpool. Why?

Who knows?

But anyway, Its a cool toy. I mean I'd like it if the sheath was removable on the back, but its not the end of the world. Unmasked head would be good, since the previous one doesn't fit great.

But, Yeah its cool. I like my Spider-Man better, but I'm also biased.
