Marvel Legends Gamerverse

I believe the proper configuration is the hooked tentacles go in the 2, 6, 10 sockets, and the squiggly tentacles go in the 12, 4, 8 sockets. That way he can grab people with his "arms" (& his ..."junk"?) so to speak, and the squggly arms act as his 2 "legs" (and his ..."hat"?)
And the body itself should be oriented so the two tiny tentacles sculpted into the texture are at the bottom, just below his eye.

And I agree about the articulation. They really should all have a secondary swivel or multidimensional hinges or something.

Ah okay that orientation makes sense in terms of hooks for grabbing arms, I’m with you there, but the eye orientation still seems iffy to me, I see that on the back of the box it is oriented as you say with the textured tiny tentacles sculpted being below his eye, but then if you turn him around the wording and lettering is upside down…

Did anybody else go by the back of the box or the lettering?

Hmmmmm. Never noticed that. I had read online somewhere that those little tentacles were supposed to be on the bottom so I went with it but yeah, if the code is upside down, they should probably be at the top.
I don't think body orientation is remotely as important as tentacle sequence. Despite mine likely being upside-down, he still works fine.

It's crazy looking at the official images; the body is upside down and all the hooks are on the lower half and the squiggly tentacles are on the upper half. But then, the one Dwight had at SDCC 2024 had the same 13/4/8 configuration I propose above.

They really should have been more definitive about the configuration.

Okay I opted for keeping the writing reading side up but the tentacles are all as you explained and it’s looking good, strangely some clicked in and some just moved until they no longer go in or out, with no click, but it all looks right. Now the hard part of settling on a preferred display pose - thanks for the help!
