Marvel Cinematic Universe Figure Discussion

Seeing (what you can of) the new FF suits in Doomsday, I'm pretty happy I didn't wait. Not saying the First Steps costumes are definitely better, but I prefer that style at least.
 
It's hard to tell from the low res embroidered images - but it looks like they won't be changing much. Looking at Sue, they may MCU them up a bit. I'm not a huge fan of the ribbed sweater look, though they are visually distinctive compared to the rest of the MCU designs.
 
Speaking of ribbed sweaters - has any 3rd party released a sweater for MCU Thing that looks good and color matches?

With most of the merch hitting now - there's a 12" Titan Thing I just saw for the first time yesterday - I wonder if the movie should have been released at Thanksgiving. It's a family movie which also has a scene set at Thanksgiving. Allow buffer from Superman - these two movies definitely cannibalized each other somewhat - use SDCC as hype (or not), allow some room for Tbolts to land. It just makes more sense releasing now where it could stand alone and not just another crowded summer release.

I know Disney has Tron, Zootopia 2 and Avatar releasing the next three months, so that's probably why. Still.
 
Received the last of the Thunderbolts figures today. I love them. Yelena's face is a bit dopey, but they did a decent job capturing the likeness.

Having the 4 of them really makes these releases feel incomplete. I want nothing more than an assembled team with looks from the movie... it's... just to unfinished. Even just to know one or two more releases is eventually coming...
 
Yeah, I just peeked again at that leaked crew thing and Thing does have the same sweater. Fingers crossed! Everyone else gets a pregnancy-disguising jacket. :)

Ryan had an interesting thing to say about the Thunderbolts figures on 3POA. He said there are a certain number of items they can do in the line and that even though there are two figures in the pack, each of those counts as one line item. The implication was the two packs were a way around something.

Aside from Funkos and these two two-packs, I wonder if Disney didn't want to merchandise a line-up of assassins? Each of these characters is a mercenary and the only thing they don't kill is each other* so perhaps that was the issue? It's still annoying, I'm just trying to figure out the why. Maybe at one point they were going to go for an R rating?

*this is the best use of the asterisk!
 
Born Again Daredevil and Punisher are hitting. Very very exciting. Ru... are you excited?

All I want to see is if the NWH Matt Murdock headswap is at all viable. Not covered in any reviews so far...
 
I am. I'm real pessimistic about MCU figures these days, but really really cannot wait for Daredevil. Part of me wants to cancel Punisher just because I've never been into the character and trying to cut back more, but no way would I cancel Daredevil. If I got my Marvel figures down to a dozen, total, he would definitely be one of those twelve.
 
Managed to track down a Born Again Daredevil today! He's such an improvement over the previous figure, it's insane. I need some more time to play around with him, but I think this might be my favorite figure of the year
 
Woop, I am, for now, done as far as movie figures go, this was the last gap filled. Ideally I would have found a MK1 somewhere for the classic bulky look but this is the next best version to me.

I would be interested in taking advantage of the Target sale and getting the new Netflix D+ Daredevile and Punisher, but of course, since it's Target, that's easier said than done. Nothing available to ship or for store pick up. One store 25 min away shows 6 of each but I doubt that will last until after work.
 
I think you had to get in on it early. I saw the posts from Preternia about all of the Target stuff going up, plus the sales, so I moved on it Sunday morning around 5-6am Eastern. I’ve got 2x Daredevil, 2x Punisher, one Cap Vs Venom, one 40th He-Man/Skeletor 2pk, one MtG Spidey, all coming either by pick up or delivery.
