MAFEX Marvel Figures

Me over the last 12 months: “When is the Mafex Rogue coming out?!?”

Me today: “Oh. The Mafex Rogue is out. Wheee. What’s for dinner?”

Me tomorrow after I get my payment notice from HLJ: “I have to pay WHAT to have Rogue shipped?!? F this F’n hobby! I’m cancelling the rest of my preorders!”

Me on Sunday: “When is the Mafex Jubilee coming out?!?”

Her proportions remind me of Marvel Select Rogue.
 
As far as the proportions are concerned, the demonstration of the double knees threw me a bit. Forget being able to kick her own ass. She looks like she could kick the center of her own back.
 
Eh, that review was pretty whiny. I wouldn't be surprised if he's just mad that he posted a video the day before saying she's delayed again only to be made to look like a chump hours later.

Plus I will never trust a guy who goes gaga for walnuts-in-condoms cloth suit KOs, or who thinks the movie Venom is the Best Thing Ever.

I did get a bit of a “This better be worth it!” vibe. I went back and looked at the promo pics, and she seems to be pretty much as advertised.
 
Yeah, it's right out of the Social Media Engagement book to take this and now make it The Worst just for hits.

But I dunno, maybe he's a YouTuber with Integri... I can't.
 
Hey all asking for clarification here. So I recently purchased the second reissue of the Sensational Spider-Man and I’m kind of awestruck by how vibrant the colors are on this release. The figure is more matte than it used to be, the reds are much brighter and the shading is more visible on the blue parts is it meant to be this way or did I just manage to pick up one hell of a one-off?. I’m fairly certain that this is as close to the solicit photos of the prototype that this figure has ever looked. I’m super impressed by how clean this figure is. Why am I learning this just now??? Christ I’m lucky BBTS still had one in stock .

Yeah it’s gorgeous. And just yesterday I had to install a new ceiling fan in my bedroom so there are some higher quality lightbulbs in here now and this figure looks really vibrant under the new lighting. And I can make out new details I hadn’t seen before. The fluorescent crimson red that this figure used to sport is gone and it’s now been replaced with a true fluorescent scarlet or a more traditional fluorescent red. It’s the same color as the 1.0 scarlet spider. The paint still has that powdered effect on the finish though so it’s not as smooth as the 2099 or the black costume Spidey or even the 075. I dunno based on these paints alone I feel like this may push this figure to the top of my list of contenders for the best figures of 2026. It’s not a FOTY candidate though. Pretty sure that honor is going to the Hiya Toys Godzilla Millennium figure

Rogue cost me just under $120 shipped from HLJ using their ECMS service. I’m guessing that’s not bad by current standards, and probably not that far off from what I paid for my last Mafex figure (it’s been a minute), but both my ego and superego are having a field day with this one. I think it’s a pretty safe bet that any future Mafex purchases will be limited to completing the blue and gold X-Men teams.
