C'mon folks. Where's the thread? We all watched this megahit.

Mattel coming right out the gate with multiple outfits in the standard line, even for the Saja Boys, is great. Hopefully they make a few complete sets of matching outfits for each group of characters. I'll pick up any Zoey and especially the all-black outfits.

I've never seen this show, but apparently people are ENRAGED on various parent groups and the like because this stuff wasn't available for Christmas when everyone, you know, actually wanted it for their kids.

The movie was dumped on Netflix as a last minute thing. No one had any idea it would have become the overnight phenomenon it did, so little to nothing was made for it. Some posters, activity books. That was about it. I got my daughter some knock-off shirts, and TikTok shop junk, that she absolutely loved. I hope when these hit she will still be interested.

Yeah, the reality of how long it takes to produce toys is not something I expect the general public to even begin to understand or care about. But the rage of 'my kid liked this and wanted toys and you guys didn't give me toys to buy until after Christmas because you hate Jesus' or whatever is hilarious.

Oh totally. It's probably because of what I collect (Marvel and SW) that it didn't even phase me that there was nothing in the way of toys to support it. I guess we just are used to getting figures from something months (and years sometimes) down the line.

I would definitely say that parents who are not collectors themselves still tend to have the '80s/'90s mentality of 'if it's out there to watch, there should be toys for it at the same time.' New Spider-Man cartoon? They're usually right. New Star Wars movie? They're usually right. So the biggest properties on earth are still reinforcing their view that when you create a new piece of media for kids, it should have toys immediately. That's 'normal' to them.

They have so quickly forgotten about Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir. That was probably the last thing that kind of blew up like K-Pop Demon Hunters but was unexpected so it went like two years with no legitimate product to buy at all. My daughter was really into it when it was new and yeah.. not being able to buy her even a single action figure or doll sucked very much.

I said it earlier, but they are right to be, because anyone at the studio who did not understand what this was and how this would generate money for them far more than crypto or AI ever could should be ejected from their skyscraper with a golden parachute made of pure gold that would hasten their demise on the sidewalk.

Because they failed even in the cold light of their God, Capitalism.

Anyway, even my little nieces were a little sad about the figures when I showed them because it wasn't as loaded or articulated as my high-end stuff that they covet.

But I think the Barbie are a lock for them and myself. Love the way they did the soft goods. I'll consider the HT to go with my Ashley Wood stuff.

Edit: eh, why even spend 900 on HT when Barbie knocked this to the mat.

I have an update from my nieces that the ramen face, even if it was the default figure, makes them mandatory purchases I have to secure.

ALL THE SAJA BOYS AT ONCE? I didn't think they'd even really make the full group, but I'm damn glad they are. The accessory spreads are great, especially for them. I need to see how they'll release variants, there's endless Huntr/x outfits, very easy hot sauce pink repaints for the Saja Boys, and their demon looks. Multi-packs? Wave 2 if this does well? I need every Zoey look.

Holy shit! These look great, Mattel actually trying these days (and dare I say it… maybe if they do lock everyone else out of the Ninja Turtles license, it might not be *too* bad?!)

I haven’t seen the movie yet (I cycle streaming services and haven’t gotten back to Netflix yet, but I need to check out this and GDT’s Frankenstein sooner than later…) so I don’t know if I’m buy *these* or not… but, Mattel, can I get some Monster High in this style?! It’s literally all I’ve wanted for the last decade, dolls are fun but c’mon! At least Frankie, Clawdeen, and Draculaura to test the waters! (G1 designs, pwease)
