I would definitely say that parents who are not collectors themselves still tend to have the '80s/'90s mentality of 'if it's out there to watch, there should be toys for it at the same time.' New Spider-Man cartoon? They're usually right. New Star Wars movie? They're usually right. So the biggest properties on earth are still reinforcing their view that when you create a new piece of media for kids, it should have toys immediately. That's 'normal' to them.Oh totally. It's probably because of what I collect (Marvel and SW) that it didn't even phase me that there was nothing in the way of toys to support it. I guess we just are used to getting figures from something months (and years sometimes) down the line.
I've never seen this show, but apparently people are ENRAGED on various parent groups and the like because this stuff wasn't available for Christmas when everyone, you know, actually wanted it for their kids.
