JOYTOY 1/18 Scale TMNT

I'm just let down at how lackluster he comes off compared to some of these other figures in comparison. I was really excited for a LH just to see what they'd come up with. But then it was just a smaller Crocker.

Leatherhead is a fine figure, but I do find him lacking as well. I think it’s because they went with such a realistic interpretation of an alligator whereas all of the other mutants have some cartoony aspect of their design. He just comes across as less fun. And it’s kind of an inconsequential piece of criticism, but I really wish the pump action on his shotgun worked.

Huh. Definitely don't see it that way. Only thing I wish was that he had his hat, otherwise I think he's pretty dang cool.

Well, all these months later I received this missing Triceraton weapon in the mail. I'm glad they sent it but would it have been so hard to send me an email that said they would send me a replacement part when they got one? So anyway, I take back what I said about their customer service because they did take care of me, albeit without very good communication.
I had an issue with a different JT figure that arrived without an (some might say THE) accessory recently, and dug up your post here to see what kind of timeframe I could expect. It looks like you didn't get it till almost four months later? Wild. I have two or three packages on the way from LT Cave right now and was hoping it might be in one of those, but I guess I should give up that dream.

Yeah I figured they would toss it in with another package I had arriving but they never did. I had just made peace with the fact that I was never going to get it and then it showed up.

Its "only" been about a month so far. I was pretty surprised to find such a thing was possible. This item was packaged in foam, there were holes cut for each accessory, and just this big old empty one for the character's main weapon. And all he had otherwise were a couple alt hands. Big oversight.

With all the raving about Metalhead, I saw that Nerdzoic had him in stock for a reasonable price the other night, and I grabbed him. As long as the van ships before we get moved into our new house in March, I'll officially be set with this line.

If people missed out on the 4 brothers the first time I think they got a re-issue, my local store has all of them in-stock. I'll swing by to pick them up next week and I also got Groundchuck and Dirtbag too.

I'm not deep on this line, but Metalhead and Dirtbag are two of my favourite figures from the Playmates days.

They both look dope.

If I were to get one, which one is the better toy?

Metalhead is so big, you could fit him in with some of your 3rd party girlies and he wouldn't look out of place terrorizing them, or doing their bidding.

He's the one I'm leaning on, partly because it looks like Dirtbag has a big gap on his knee articulation?

Whereas Metalhead just looks like a solid piece of artistic engineering. Appreciate the personal sales touch there.

Most of the figures in the line are pretty gappy at the knee, unfortunately. It's the one joint they could stand to improve upon. Metalhead is my pick of the line if I had to elevate one above all the others. He's awesome. The only thing I don't like is you have to get that double-ball peg out of his wrist to use the drill attachment (as well as the vacuum cleaner, but I'll likely never use that). I love the addition of the drone.
