Jada Toys Cyberpunk 2077

I'm definitely in for Rebecca. The other 2 look good but I bet they'll be more expensive. Maybe get them on sale if I see them. Anyone know when she goes up for preorder?

Not the Jada version of course but I made the mistake of bookmarking the Romankey Jessica Aster homage/knockoff on eBay and every time I get an alert that one is posted I try to figure out how to tell which version I'm buying (and if it's an original or a reissue). Not exactly priced to chance your arm on seeing if you got the right one.

I pulled the box for you. It does say Deluxe Version on the side. Mine is blue.

I haven't seen the regular box.

Also no way to tell what version it is.

Edit: I looked at eBay and see my input is worthless because no one is taking pictures of the box like that and they are all blue. I suppose if they're posting photos make sure that you have the body with no tattoos because that's the extra one.

Edit edit: I didn't realize how barebones the basic was in comparison.

Thanks for looking into this - for some reason I thought I remembered hearing that they'd had a faulty first version and reissued it but I might be losing my mind. The basic one really is limited compared to the deluxe version. (I also know the minute I try to buy this Jada will release their own Rebecca...)

You're correct that the initial release had loose joints. I'm not sure how limited it was. That's what I meant by there's no way to tell on the box. I know that 5K got theirs late and all of theirs were solid, so maybe you could inquire where the seller got it from.

And the last Jada thing I saw on toy migos mentioned that the next wave is the first half of next year so Rebecca is coming but God knows when.

I'm definitely on the "I'm going to think about this for four months then impulse buy one off eBay at 4 a.m. after a particularly depressing day at work" track right now with this figure.

Not to peer pressure, but she's absolutely the figure of the year for me.

Posing. Accessories (Deluxe). Second body is insane. Instructions. Box graphic design. Quality.

Usually when I spend more than I'd like on a figure, it's a lot of walking through the marketing bullet points to justify it. And that usually falls apart for me. This one gives me joy from unboxing to this very day. It's everything I expected out of a Mezco, that I only really got out of a couple Gomez releases. In fact, now I'm kind of annoyed I sold most of those because she would have gone perfect with Gomez for my desk canon. It's the attitude and confidence in the design and execution.

It doesn't even matter about the Cyberpunk tie-in. I just think this is a cool figure and it does everything I'm looking for, which even Optimus Prime and Scarlett don't, even if that's what I chase. I just spent $30 on soft goods clothes to outfit the other body.

At this point it's just trying to figure out if I should try a vendor I've never bought from before or chance my arm on an eBay sale. (and wanting to make sure I don't get the loose joints version someone's unloading on the tertiary market.

It's like an urban legend. I know exactly what you're talking about, but I never heard any official communication about it and it only came from various YouTube comments because some people had reviews months before it seemed to have a wide release.

Maybe it was just the mythical internet copium for latecomers?

Wrong thread for the manufacturer, but I just ordered that Gun Girl figure - when you pointed out the seller is a customizer people know and has a good reputation I caved. (Also I saw his listings went from 10 available to TWO while I was hemming and hawing and just folded like a chair not wanting t miss out.)

I meant to ask you on Sunday, but we uncharacteristically all derailed 20 subtopics.
I've legit had that eBay listing open since like, Friday. I'm like dude if you keep THE SAME LISTING open in a tab for five days, just buy the damned figure. I did just watch a 26 minute review of her and it feels like she almost comes with a whole second figure which takes the sting off the price.

@altcunningham - just got Jessica Aster and struggling a bit with swapping hands and heads. Did you need to use heat? Hot water okay for her? Just don't want to snap a wrist peg putting gun hands on or such. (Kinda want to swap the clothes too but not sure where the right spot to pop her apart is... the thigh swivel for the legs, thorax for the upper body?)

Amazing figure right out of the box but want to get the two versions set up just right.

Thighs should slide off at the swivel, it's a friction peg. It will take heat but for me the thorax comes apart at the thorax with the ball socket going into the stomach top peg. In theory, the whole thing pops apart, but I wouldn't want to mess with the shoulder system. But you can pop the bicep off, it has a subtle securing mushroom peg. Very hard plastic though, so again exercise caution.

I keep saying exercise caution but in actual play practice this thing is solid as a rock. I just wouldn't want to mess with taking it apart too often.

I used an initial hot water bath on both bucks, mostly because getting the second head on was horrendously tight. Didn't really need to do it for the hands, but it probably helped. Had no issues with the hot water. I took the face plates off but it didn't affect the tattoos or anything.

The heads are ultra tight. I have heard from one person in a YouTube comment who replied to me about that that they dremeled theirs and in Asia that was a common trick. I don't want to do that, so hot water for me.

But I also just settled on the mechanical necks for each right now and left it because I like the texture/contrast.

I have not tried to swap the feet because that gave me concern when I gave it an effort. And the gauntlets do have a subtle mold in them that conforms to the forearm if you have any problems with them sliding off.

Also the big gun does have grooves that snap into the gauntlets for a more secure grip. Some reviewers missed this or didn't understand it. It also looks like those tolerances varied but mine was good.
