General Marvel Legends

I will freely admit that the actual figure is a straight banger and fun as heck.

Ack ack ack don’t put that evil mojo on the Count!!
🤣

They are soooooooo close to classic Dracula: use one of the newer, beefier, pinless suit bodies, those claw hands they threw in with Mandarin and Owl that really look sculpted for Dracula, then new neckwear, big new cloak, and a couple of awesome Paul Harding portraits that he’s already got in his portfolio.

It’s too easy. And that scares me.

It would be so vert easy for them to do, it's like all the parts have been independently manifesting themselves into existence. Plus, that Paul Harding portrait has been around for a while, and a good chunk of his Marvel portfolio bits have made it into action figure form. Even definitely not sober 70's Tony Stark (which is awesome).

Maybe we'll see classic Dracula in a box-set, and he'll come with Classic Lilith Drake, Janus, 70's Blade, and Dr. Sun?

70's Blade is also another Paul Harding piece that's been around for ages. It would almost make the perfect two pack....

Oh yeah.

I also wouldn't mind another Legends appropriate scale attempt at the Iron Man 2 War Machine armor :)

Also... switching gears to comics for a sec - we really need a normal modern Tony Stark head. The 2 pack hooded one was great... just no hood pls. Put that in with the Pentagon armor or whatever it was before Extremis that they actually included an image of on the Extremis 2 pack package.

The modern Tony Stark head sans sheath/techy collar piece is something that is fairly overdue. The hulkbuster/extremis/AI versions are all neat, but they can't really be used on other armors, or for a civillian look. I think the last stand alone modern comic Tony was around 2017?

So it will pop up soon... but it'll be the super recent version where he didn't shave for months or when he briefly reverted to mullett and moustache.

Easily my favorite civilian head in ML. So much character, soooooo specific to era.
That head is permanently on a Hammerhead body with the vest removed and he is my *perfect* Tony Stark, and my favorite “secret identity” figure of all time.

[y’all remember: it’s only modern/MCU Tony I hate, classic Tony is my ride-or-die]

I think you're gonna be busy next year.

Dan confirming MCU figures being revealed next week.

DP&W Wave 2.

Thank you!

On the one hand... I don't care about the lack of MCU figures because I don't buy those and its meant more of the stuff I do like and want to buy.

On the other hand, leaning back into MCU figures would mean maybe I'd spend less money - which wouldn't be bad - and it would make some folks I like here happy -which would be good.

Well we do live in a world where the Supergirl trailer dropped yesterday and within 3 hours there was a 90 minute video on my feed from angry looking gamer girl who had already published a video essay on why Supergirl is woke and woke is destroying real masculinity that women want, purely off the trailer.

Definitely a different world.
Yeah, the world is definitely better now.

Oh, this to the maximum. For all that I grumble when a Pulse reveal passes and I don’t want anything from it, I should be dancing a jig at the prospect of not dropping hundreds of clams for toys every month. And a happy board is much nicer to read through!

If it's a bunch of Deadpool variants I'll probably save my money.
Honestly, same. That would be fantastic for those who want them and I won't begrudge them at all. I'm cool saving money, but of course there's a market for those figures.
Only really looking for a sleeveless Wolverine and Gambit, perhaps Blade if he looks decent.
Even those, for me... well, I would like the brown suited Wolverine that was in the movie for five seconds, otherwise I'm actually good on that movie. Echo, Ironheart, Loki, villains, etc are more what I'm after. BUT... the characters they meet in the Void, along with the Illuminati from Multiverse of Madness... not into them personally, but I still can't believe those weren't Legends waves.

It would kinda make sense if there were going to be a lot of MCU figures between 2026 and 2027, bridging the two movies with now-revealed Doomsday designs.

The MCU drought really makes me sad. The last proper wave we got - was it Love & Thunder or Disney+ Infinity Ultron before PFP came in and just cratered sales? It wasn't the MCU figs' fault!

Ugh. Corporate America always learning the wrong lessons.

I don't understand the resistance to revisiting past MCU projects and filling-in holes. They are not irrelevant. Look at Star Wars!!! Do them faithfully, make re-dos significant upgrades and don't treat your customers as fools. MONEY.
This one hits hard as an MCU dude. There's obviously demand out there Hasbro! Fill the holes!
