I can see Raza being some new tooling they'd drag their feet on, but I recall Hepzibah was mentioned specifically as possible reuse when they revealed the furry arms/ legs for Tigra.
-Hepzibah and Raza "are expensive". Also, challenging is the "level of awareness of the characters". Obviously Warbow has a much higher level of awareness than these two Starjammers...![]()
Raza’s asymmetrical cybernetics seems to be the cost holdup there. And he said he didn’t care for Hepzibah’s old look, preferring her more modern (presumably Jim Lee) look.
And after hearing how much he him-hawed on those Starjammers, I’m convinced we’re flat out never getting Balder or the Warriors Three or any other Asgardians for that matter. So I might as well not even bother hoping anymore. Likewise more Serpent Society.
So... I can't take the comments about the Starjammers seriously Why even do Ch'od and Corsair if you don't plan to do the rest of the team? It's ludicrous. And the idea that they are too expensive is nonsense. They do plenty of figures that require new tooling, so it can't really be that.
I do hope its just misdirection.
I'm not too surprised that Dwight might be more candid when talking directly with you (or SDC, or others) when a camera isn't involved. I'm sure they hedge their bets a lot more when they're being recorded by a prominent social media type.Yeah, Dwight's comments about the Starjammers seems pretty odd. When I mentioned them at SDCC he seemed very enthusiastic about them and completing that team. He certainly didn't give me any indication they would be difficult to make, like he said the original Guardians would be. Maybe his comments to Dan Who? Reviews was a red herring, and they already have plans to complete that team.
