G.I. Joe Toys on Sale

I haven't heard of people finding stuff there before. I haven't been to a store in months and all they had was garbage. Even my bargain-hunting daughters tend to avoid that place.

It's just that two-pack showing up as far as I know. I'll let you know more tomorrow ...

I braved the beginnings of the winter storm this morning, AKA a normal January day in Buffalo, and yeah, never change Burlington. I hit the two stores nearest my house and it was the horrible experience it always is. God knows I'm all for discount stores — but have some damn pride. Everything's a mess. There was just scattered junk in the toy section, largely bare shelves, open boxes, loose pieces here and there. Both stores. I didn't see anything of value.

I did run into a Ross across the parking lot from the first B and they had three retro Stalkers for $8.99. Would've been great if they were Tele-Vipers, but I don't need anymore Stalkers.

That's the first time I've seen anything at Ross in a long time — and I went practically every day to that store prior to Christmas on my way to the office or coming home. Saw nothing other than a couple random Black series figures.

Even today, in typical Ross fashion, it's nothing I was looking for.

The last Classified I found at Burlingon was the Roadblock with non-gold shin armor. Must be two or three years ago. I find Burlington to be a step above Marshalls/TJ Maxx, like there's an occasional chance at finding something good in toys. I could use that pack since it's one I've passed on.

It's funny, Burlington is new to my area and the two locations we have are pristine, the last Joe I ever found there was the Roadblock mrboshek mentioned. I stopped bothering because they never have anything, and I mean anything. Meanwhile Ross is usually worth the hunt but stresses me the hell out, it's like claustrophobia immersion therapy.

Checked Burlington last night. Same bare shelves as Sunday.

I did pop into the Ross across the parking lot afterward at the request of my daughter and found retro Beach Head, Rock n Roll and the Mad Marauders Slaughter for $9.99. One retro Stalker was still there for $8.99. Couldn't think of a reason to buy any of them again.

So I guess the key to Ross is to not intend to go, randomly pop in and kinda get lucky. As I've said, I went almost everyday late November/early December thinking there'd be a lot more stock for Christmas and found nothing. So annoying.
