G.I. Joe Head Canon & Fanfic Filecards

I finally made time for Stalker:

Disavowed-Stalker.jpg

Codename: Spirit (DISAVOWED)
File Name: Iron-Knife, Charlie
Primary Specialty: Infantry
Secondary Specialty: Special Services
Birthplace: Taos, New Mexico
Rank: E-4

Subject was discharged from following the disbandment of the GI Joe Unit under President Lewis. Standard surveillance lost track of him somewhere in New Mexico. Holding a PhD in Psychology, Iron-Knife maintains his license to practice in New Mexico, but does not at this time appear to have a permanent place of business. He had been seen alongside social workers on several Reservations in the state and is rumored to have visited [REDACTED] in his cabin in Colorado but that incident remains unconfirmed. Orders remain to be on the lookout for Iron-Knife should he rekindle his association with other disavowed Joes.

"Charlie's reaction when Lewis was elected was low-key unnerving. I was with him when we saw the news. He said 'this land hasn't belonged to my people in hundreds of years. It breaks my heart that everyone else will now feel what we felt.' Then he started packing his stuff like he knew it was over. He and that crazy bird of his just walked off into the afternoon sun a few days later. One of the boys once said that Charlie being a Shaman or medicine man or whatever wasn't magic; it was just like what if talking to your shrink actually worked. I miss him. I always felt like the ground was sturdier under my feet when he was on a mission with us. I hope he comes back. This country needs someone who knows how to heal the world like he does."

A personal note from Sgt. Franklin E. Talltree, Code Name: Airborne: "He used to make me so mad. Charlie was always so kind to everyone else, but he'd bust my balls every time he could, call me an Oil Money Indian. But I know now he just expected more from me than anyone else. Maybe it was that medicine man BS he was always slinging--messing with me to push me to be more. Well it worked, Charlie. Wherever you are."

First off, that is beautiful. Secondly, now I kinda want a buddy cop type story with Airborne and Spirit where they're put together because "of course" from the white CO (who isn't Hawk), but they couldn't be more different and don't get along... Except when it counts.

I don't know how intentional Hama was with it - I know he wasn't crazy about the "village people" generation of Joes who got too thematic - but I love that his two First Nations characters are so incredibly different. Airborne knows how to blend in and Spirit never lets you forget where he came from. They feel like the start of a Tony Hillerman novel.

I do as well. And I still never watched the series finale for Reservation Dogs. I was saving it and I've even watched episodes of the show since, but I think I'm treating it like it hasn't ended.

Codename: Roadblock (DISAVOWED)
File Name: Hinton, Marvin F.
Primary Specialty: Infantry Heavy Weapons
Secondary Specialty: Cook
Birthplace: Biloxi, Mississippi
Rank: E-4

Subject accepted early retirement upon dissolution of the GI Joe Unit. Witnesses heard him say that his intention was to "finally open up that restaurant I always wanted." Current owner and Chef de Cuisine of "Mama Hinton's Table," a three-star Michelin-rated restaurant with locations in Harlem, NY; Paris, France; Chicago; New Orleans; Cambridge, Massachusetts; London, England; and a test kitchen in Jackson, Mississippi. Hinton plans to open locations in Tokyo and Rio de Janeiro. Once considered the heart of the Joes team, Hinton appears to have returned to civilian life and has no plans to engage in subversive action. In fact, President Lewis was invited to dine there personally by Hinton, and Lewis says that the Confit de Canard is one of the finest meals he has ever had in his life. Plans have been made for Mama Hinton's Table to cater an upcoming Presidential Gala.

"Roadblock is fighting the good fight using the skill he knows best - the kitchen. Not only are we able to move wayward Joes in and out of the country and across state borders using Roadblock's restaurant connections, every one of his locations has a 'clean room' set up by Mainframe where surveillance equipment doesn't work, so we can have clandestine meetings there without being overheard. Plus this absolute madman has Cobra Commander convinced he's buried the hatchet. Treats him like royalty whenever he's in town and seats him in a private booth that has been bugged to the GILLS by Dial Tone. We get more intel while 'President Lewis' is chowing down on Steak Tartare than we get from our actual spy network. Oh and if you can get a table? Try the boeuf Bourguignon, it's incredible."

Codename: Low-Light (DISAVOWED)
File Name: MacBride, Cooper G.
Primary Specialty: Infantry
Secondary Specialty: Marksmanship Instructor
Birthplace: Crosby, North Dakota
Rank: E-6

Subject is considered armed and dangerous. Upon dissolution of the GI Joe task force, MacBride went on the lam, traveling exclusively by night across the United States. He has been committing acts of violence for months, and is the primary reason all President Lewis speaking engagements happen behind bulletproof glass. Cobra personnel have permission to shoot on sight.

"Here's the thing about Low-Light - he thinks like a primal predator. He stalks the dark like a panther, waiting for his opportunity to strike. And when Lewis pulled the plug on the Joes, Low-Light had nowhere else to go. What do you do with a man who's best skill set involves murdering other men in places where the darkness rules? Low-Light is just out there hunting monsters in the dark. We don't know for sure, but two men planning an asssassination attempt on Airborne on the campaign trail turned up dead with lead in their brain pans and we all know who took them out..."
