G.I. Joe Classified One-A-Day Beamish-Style Poll - #51 - The Viper (Animated Series)

Satin and her Dolls are massive wants.

I’ve been desperate for a figure of that Snake-Eyes since I first saw the episode.

Day 51 - The Viper (Animated Series) (11/2/25)

Another week of animated characters starting with the classic episode The Viper Is Coming. It's always a delight when the Joes dance, but when not on missions they get a little too crazy and make quite the mess. This means Barbecue with his bizarre accent is in need of a Viper. No, you probably won't buy his figure but no one can deny the wonder that is The Viper.

Oh man, there is no reason to need the Viper but I would need the Viper. It's too iconic an episode, so absurd, so ridiculous.

Also Barbecue proving that literally nobody can do a Boston accent unless you grew up with it. I do not mean that as a compliment or a brag. I usually say it's less an accent and more a speech impediment.

He would be a fun novelty, but I’m not sure I’d spend a lot to get him. Maybe if he was included in a box set with other desirable characters.

Just as a side note, in the above video around 2:09, that super funky background music that was used in quite a bit of Sunbow cartoons has been in my head for 40+ years. I found just that snippet unofficially called "Autobop", but I need the full soundtrack.

Same. One of my best friends in high school used to imitate it whenever he was doing a goofy, awkward repetitive dance move.

Just watched the whole episode. My favorite part is that they mention several times that this is all happening in one day. You know, U.S. to South Pole to West Point to New York and then at the very end they meet the Viper... at noon.
