Day 44 - Mercer (Energon) (10/26/25)

Apologies, we will come back to ROC later on, but for now we're kicking off a week for different versions of characters we have in Classified. The Energon adult animated series is coming, surely a Mercer (evil version) isn't far behind.

Interesting to get an “alt” version of a character. Yeah, I’d grab Big Bad Mercer.

Eh. I generally like the Energon character designs (I'd be a yes for most of the characters on those team cover images), but this Mercer looks like the creative team slapped an existing character name onto an OC of their own making. Not a hard no, but light "nah" for me, meaning a cool enough figure I could be talked into it. (Realizing that the "should've been a new character but they needed name recognition" is my low-key pet peeve with a lot of newer comics versions.)

Not sure how I feel about Energon Mercer as a figure. I would buy it for sure, but I feel he would need to be Road Pig sized. Yet more muscular and then it becomes a question of would he just be another Sgt. Slaughter reuse?

I would have to say no. He looks like a big, tempting target on a battlefield.

Ninja Force Zartan is coming, so Scarlett can't be too far around the corner, right? Day Two of our week for different versions of characters already released in Classified brings us the version of Scarlett some are frothing for!

Ninja Force Scarlett is legit a dream Classified figure for me. Snake-Eyes as well.
