G.I. Joe Classified One-A-Day Beamish-Style Figure Poll - #187 - Spirit (Sigma 6)

Some elements of Spirit's look are great, but others are definitely 2000s anime based and I am not as big a fan. I am open to seeing how Lenny and the team would tackle this look.

Also I would love to have an updated file card for Spirit that blends some of his original file card elements with the Sigma Six file card that gives him more military backstory than just simply "great tracker/native American." I really like that the Sigma Six file card gives us a backstory on how he rose through the ranks and how his lifelong skills translated to concrete ops and military skill sets.

That Spirit was the first S6 I bought. It was very much prime hand candy. Do I like Classified Spirit better? You bet. But this one is great as a younger version of the character.

Mostly, I’d just dig a more tactical Spirit, not all the way to the weird black onesie he wore in Devil’s Due, but something more like the “Billy” Pursuit of Cobra look.

And some of these could be homages to previous lines but be all new characters. On my shelf, any other version of Spirit is gonna be a different Indigenous character anyway, so I'd be cool if they do more Wolf Spider and Sundown types.

Y'know, if they did Sigma Spirit this is what I'd do, too. That'd sell me on a "Billy" Spirit too even though I really didn't like that homage back in the day (I think it was because the actor had such a violent reputation and Spirit to me was always like, the Zen-est of Joes.)

I know maybe his role in Predator wasn't super nuanced or required a lot of skill, but I always thought it was SOMETHING that the biggest psychopath was able to turn in a performance that endeared him heavily to a lot of the audience.

That's actually a great point. The dude was so dangerous they hire a bodyguard to babysit him so he doesn't kill the cast but he's easily one of the most beloved characters in the franchise.

To be clear: I don’t want Spirit to *be* Billy, just that a more “tactical field operative version (as opposed to the “hey it’s our Native American buddy!!” classic version, let’s be honest, that’s what it is), and the closest we’ve gotten is that Predator homage version. I think there are plenty of other ways to do Spirit justice, as well.
