G.I. Joe Classified One-A-Day Beamish-Style Figure Poll - #162 - B.A.T. V2/Crimson Guard Immortal (RAH)

Cesspool - Yeah probably, it would look Awesome in Classified.
Storm Shadow - The one we got is just fine, so no.
Headman - Hell yeah! I always dug the design, so I'm down for it.
Long Range - I mean... yeah? But he isn't someone I'd be after specifically. I'd MUCH prefer the Sigma 6 guy, he was awesome.
BAT - Nope, BAT's suck.

Not a priority. I’m pretty good with the BAT we got. If/when Hasbro gets to making this, I’ll make a decision based on the actual execution of the V.2 BAT.

v2 BAT is -BEST- BAT. That's the version I want and that I've been waiting for, and therefore is the reason I don't own any of the Classified BATs yet.

I would like them to include heads for Wade and Appel. Had the Immortal idea been a thing in 1985, I think both of them would have been in that group.

Mmmmmmaybe Wade would have been an Immortal, but not Appel.
Whether or not the Immortals are a higher rank than “normal” CGs (and I actually would bet that they aren’t), the Immortals are seemingly set up to be direct-combat heavy weapons/armor guys. That could definitely be Wade with his training.
But Appel did not seem to be a combat agent at all. He seemed to be higher ranking than other CGs, or at least a “special projects” kind of science guy. So I doubt he would have been an Immortal, or on the field of battle at all.
Although also I kind of always thought that the Immortals might just be the combat uniform for CGs, like *any* CG in the field after a certain point would be in the Immortal armor. CGs have always been “too good to waste on a conventional battlefield” so this was the workaround for those that did engage in direct combat. Kind of Battle Armor Coba Commander Lite.

At any rate: the Immortal is an easy top 10 want at this point, and honestly I think I like him *better* than the standard CG. These guys are literally Cobra’s “super soldiers”, and with some Classified magic they should be scary, swole “final boss energy” guys.

And hey, why not throw in Wade and Appel heads! I actually hope the Immortal helmet is removable and there is some creepy balaclava head under there like Night Viper. Also I hope they do some interpretation on the weapons system: two-hand Big Guns is a good place to start, but not sure about all the mini rocket launchers, this was definitely the moment they started playing with launching weapons and while these are less egregious than what would come after, they could use an update.

Ah, fair enough, and I agree with your reasoning. Maybe Appel would have been a third type of CG that wasn't an active combat kind at all. I know they did a CG Commander (whom I guess replace the twins?), so maybe that guy could come with an Appel head.

Huh, that's a good take as well, since the regular CG uniform is pretty dressy.

Yes!

I would definitely be into that. I'm not even super hot for that helmet design, but wouldn't be surprised if Classified made it cooler.

Agreed.

BAT v2 - If those mofos don't hurry up and give me some BATS in Desert/Swamp colors I swear.

Immortal - I dig it, but I hate those weapons. They just look stupid.

BATS in Desert/Swamp colors
Definitely want environmental BATs.
And there is precedent: Jungle BAT was epic in PoC era, and newsculpt2000s had Overkill in desert deco. I think Classified could do better than just repainting: we’re starting to bank some solid BAT/robot parts, and it would be fun to mix-and-match, especially once v2 comes out.

I’d also like to see Inferno BATs, SigmaSix/Robot Rebellion style BATS (and Overkill), newsculpt2000s “bunny ears and biker shorts” BATs, etc.

Crimson Guard Immortal is easily a top ten want for me. In a HEARTBEAT.

Agree on needing a Wade Collins head - for Appel I'd rather them do a dadbod crimson guard, but I know that's HIGHLY unlikely.
