I think sometimes retro releases are to get us closer to the original looks and sometimes they're just a way to get a character back out there/re-use the mold.

There was a comic recently (I think it was Energon U, but I can't find a picture) that showed the IG crew having a bunch of Despoilers deployed in battle. It wasn't reserved for his Lairdship.

Surprised that Wild Bill is exactly the same as the Haslab one unless... maybe the glasses aren't removable? Looks like maybe there aren't quite as many head/hair combos. In any event, I actually always complain to myself about how I want to have him out in two different looks with his hat and glasses so I'll be down for a second.
Grunt just kinda makes sense. His original release was great except for that shitty neck peg but if anyone should be on a greenshirt buck it's him. (Looks like I will NOT be putting a spare Grunt head on a greenshirt body after all!).
Techno-pretty much a straight re-release yeah? Like the Eel. At least the Eel had different skin tones and the Snow Serpent had a brighter blue look.

I knew IG Destro would get me to buy if they ever did it. And it will. The sixgun is an interesting choice, but I'm not mad about it. Do sort of feel like he should have a more techy blaster too given he's the arms dealer, but whatever. Like these new swords he's getting and that shield's dope as hell.

Carryover from the 25th era. I thought it was weird then too. But I guess they want more “traditional” weapons for this look?
Blaster would be more appropriate, or a Mauser or something.

I think the sixgun works with this more ceremonial look. I mean, he's also carrying a sword. This isn't modern battlefield Destro.

Ahhh and the jewel from his neck chain is now a pin for his ascot!! Amazing.

I really wish some storyline would run with the Imperial Guard breaking off and becoming their own thing. They got folded into Cobra too quickly in the Hama run.

Well, I prefer the darker purple of the newer techno and the black on the older one as opposed to the blue, but overall will stick with the older one.
So this Grunt is the same body as the anniversary trooper w/slightly different shaded top-half?
Destro looks slick, but I also don't need that vehicle. This would be a Goldhead Desi I would buy.

So is WildBill literally the same as the Haslab? Probably in for him and that's it. Would love to see a Wild Weasel also.

We're supposed to get some preorders in April, apparently none in May, then June is the motherload, but I'm guessing these four are coming in the next couple weeks. And they're all supposedly stateside already.
Super excited for Wild Bill and even more excited that he looks to be about the same as the Haslab. At this point I'd just accepted that any Wild Bill I'd get would be his cartoon colors.
They're gonna get me for Grunt. I made a fix up using a spare Stalker harness, but I'll always take an official version. Guess this balances out that I got the original Grunt for $13 when target had them mispriced in their system.
And speaking of simple OG 13 characters that they're getting me for, found Zap and his wave at Walmart today. Canceled my Amazon order for him. One evil corporation's loss is another's win.
