Oh wow! I had no idea. Strange. Never knew him to be an overly combative guy. Opinionated, sure, but I never saw him being of the sort to get banned. Guess we missed something?
 
Don't take that as gospel. I should say -my understanding- is that Phin got banned. And again, I do not know why that would have been. There were people on Fwoosh saying some pretty heinous shit back then. It was pretty damn rare for anyone to get banned for almost anything, as far as I know.

Samael is a good call, too, yeah. I'd PM people who are still on Fwoosh that haven't made their way here yet, but, you know, Fwoosh doesn't have a fucking PM function.

I was pretty active doing that when this place first opened up. I tagged a lot of people over there and got them over here. Most of the ones that are left....ehhh......
 
I never made any public comments about AT over there. I dunno. Felt like being a mod meant it was different if I did it than if someone else did it? Maybe that's weird. Just felt off. Appreciate you fellas that did give us the shoutout, though.

We try not to discriminate too readily. Definitely a few people are gonna self-select themselves out and some wouldn't last -- this place is run a little different than Fwoosh. But as long as people play nice, we'll be all right.

I get that, and of course that is fair. I imagine the politics thread pushes some out. But yeah, new place, new start.

It's definitely the big thing -- the open political discussion here has certainly turned some people off. Some stick around but just choose not to get involved - which is totally fine. Some get so aggressively upset by people with different opinions than them that they had to leave. It is what it is. We're not TRYING to hurt any feelings, but we're not overly interested in coddling anyone either, I would say.

But also, totally different from people that just go act like shitbags all over the place. Don't need that energy here. There's enough dicks in the Classified thread as it is.
 
I can confirm that Phin was banned from Fwoosh.

I went looking for him a few weeks ago. I DMed him on Figure Realm, of all places. I let him know that we're here and we think of him often. Haven't heard back yet.

If there's anyone else you want here, reach out. I was so glad SalemCrow was able to get a hold of Piffy. There are so many former Fwooshers who dropped off the map. I wish I had thought of getting their contact info way back when.
 
Gettin' the old guard back together. Makes me realize a few of these whipper snappers didn't even KNOW some of the people we're pining for.
