DC Mezco One:12 Collective

I'd say there's probably something to be had in a toy review channel that intentionally does them in bad faith, but with media literacy being what it is most would probably just assume it's sincere and not get the joke.
 
I was watching some third party gooner figure a while ago and everything in the box came broken or broke during the video and the guy was still just coping telling you how great it still is and you should still buy it.

Nice try, man, just because the canary dies in the coal mine doesn't mean I have to.

Did some work on Mezco 1:12 (and similar figures) display today.

First up is my Golden Age gangster display. I'm not the greatest poser, but I try to get more creative with my displays when space permits, borrowing from toy photography and media images and doing my best to adapt them, to varying degrees of success. Robin's pose, for example, was adapted from a D-Amazing video.

The Golden Age Joker, as well as the entire backdrop/shelf wrap are new additions. The backdrop is an image from the Dick Tracy movie (shown below).

I'm pretty sure everyone dies at the end of this scene. :LOL...

Nice to know Scarecrow is next. And I know this is technically a bit of a reach since there is another pic that just recreates a comic cover from Batman & Robin Adventures # 1, but there is a wanted poster showing Two-Faces’ name.

I really hope this line is stretched out to the max. I’m getting really tired of seeing the heavily recycled BTAS figures made from weak ass plastic by DCC/McFarlane Toys. I refuse to let those toys be my only option. So even if Mezco has its faults, execution wise they look a hell of a lot better than the competition right now. And there is no way in hell I’m springing $300+ for any of the BTAS stuff from Jazzinc or , S-Hero or SSR
