Blokees Transformers

I rescued the last two Parallel boxs from my walmart. I didn't want to, but they would have been lost under all the One they had piling on top of them. Got Dirge and Wheeljack. So my One Wheeljack will now be painted into a random bot because I prefer standard G1 Wheeljack to the One design. And now Dirge makes me want more seekers, even the coneheads.
 
I was in Asia in June and got a couple of these from a ToyWorld. Mine were the small, duper deformed looking ones. I got shattered glass Sideswipe and Soundwave. Pretty awesome little toys, and they cost me less than $3 a piece. If I wasn’t already looking to reduce my collections, I would be very into these.

Also wanted to note that there are a few other properties that would be pretty cool in this blind box format.
 
Over the course of the weekend, we put together the entire case of "One Shall Fall". We didn't get the chase Optimus. The Unicron head ended up being the last box though, so that was nice.
 
Ordered the entire Defenders set of Constructicons & Devastator build pack from a seller on AlliExpress. I already have the dump truck and crane, but it was easier to buy all of it together than piecemeal it.
 
Is there a specific seller on AliExpress that’s good? I’ve looked for Blokees on there before and never found pricing that seems better than the US.

I assume that’s why people are buying from them
 
This is who I ordered my "One Shall Fall" case from. It was $53, which works out to $5ish each. Not much of a savings, but you're sure to get everyone you want at least.

Timing and coupons are the difference between a good deal or not. The same wave 5 Defender case that I ordered for $28 three weeks ago is available for $20 with coupons and Black Friday sale right now.
 
I keep pulling the rare "shiny" versions of my favorites. Soundwave and Starscream. I just want the regular versions. I can't tell if I'm lucky or cursed!
 
The area Walmarts recently started getting in a G1 wave of blind boxes. I picked up the last three from one store and bought a couple from a different Walmart. I've been hesitant about getting more from this wave because I figure the odds of getting a duplicate rise as you get more figures. Best to buy a whole box when you can

Tell me about it. I kept having near misses with the TF Blokees. Would order some from Walmart. They cancel. Order again. They substitute to the One wave 1, which I didn't want and had to return.

Stumbled upon some Galaxy and Defenders at a local store. Tried out two Defenders since they were only $3. Got Shattered Glass Sideswipe and glitter Ironhide. Sigh. I did put them together and think they're cute. And I think I prefer this style to the Galaxy ones. There's just more personality to the little squat form factor.

Went back to the same store. They had a few Defenders left and a fresh case. Bought all 16. Didn't even get a complete set. Ended up with two each of the Bumblebee cars, two of Bumblebee robots, and another SG Sideswipe as my extras. Well, and an extra robot Scavenger and extra Thundercracker plane. Gonna gift a Thundercracker robot and plane to my buddy, since Thundercracker was his first Transformer. Guess he's getting some glitter versions as well. as well as robot Scavenger. Hope he can enjoy them. Would have been nice to give him some normal versions of the other characters. I think the SG and glitter versions would be fine...if they were chase figures. They're gonna be less desired figures and therefore shouldn't be main figures. Make them chases and they may be more appealing if found.

Oh, I did end up with a chase Optimus Prime. Didn't get a regular version though. Maybe you only get one or the other in a case. At least he looks nice and shiny.

I did buy a little portable weight scale, since people try and identify these by weight. It can work...sometimes. Doesn't help when so many of the Defenders in a wave are similar weights. I've also seen people list the glitter Bumblebee car at one weight, and mine were way heavier. So that was disappointing. I also did find one Galaxy wave 3 and it correctly identified as dinosaur Slag , who is one I wanted, so that was fortuitous.

The Galaxy boxes show the ratios on one of the sides, and you shouldn't get a chase + regular in the same case. I've gotten 3 of the chase OPs but not his regular picking at the 6 or so cases I think I've seen go through my WM.

I've got all the Dinos in both modes except Sludge (plus now a battle damage birdSwoop, lol), all off ebay except the Swoops from WM. GrimmyBot is the light-up Shining version, which I only got because he was cheaper for some reason. They're fun as hell. I'm praying WM gets in the Sludge case as while I don't want them all I'll def take them all to get the ones I do want.

Unsure how much deeper I'll go with these. They're fun but I wish there weren't rares and vehicles. Like if they were just all bots, and you could buy the case and get the ACTUAL full set, I'd get every wave.
