Big Bad Workshop General

First I've heard of this collaboration. Any other details?
Oh, unless you mean the Buckaroo Bonzai thing, it's more reference than a licensed thing, but that's definitely what they're riffing on.

I pledged for that Space Zombies Kickstarter, but only for some Astronauts. I had ZERO interest in the zombie aspect, but really wanted some astronauts in this scale. I pledged for three Astronaut figures.

I hope those protos make their way unto something else... maybe one of the BBWS lines?

Buckaroo Banzai I would love an official licensed deal for. Peter Weller (in general) was one of my first man crushes in my youth, so I'd kill for any figure of him. Still gotta pick up that Robocop model kit...

I  believe Pelletier runs the Naughty or Nice line within FMF, so I knew there was some cooperation, but I hadn't heard of any actual FMF involvement with Space Zombies.

I liked the concept quite a bit, but I held back because I'd only be interested if they unlocked all the colors (which didn't happen because people held back until all the colors were unlocked).

Years back, proto-Fresh Monkey did a Kickstarter for Space Force in 1/18 scale that stood out for having a lot of alt heads. Major Coco was one, but also, like, Stalin, Reagan, Trump and Obama. I'd love for FMF to do the same thing with 1/12 Star Command. The idea of Ronald Reagan faking his death so he can serve as the forward base commander on the dark side of the moon really amuses me.

Yep, same boat as you.

Yeah he's done all their Naughty or Nice stuff as far as I know. I don't know it FMF is like, officially associated with Space Zombies, seemed more like the sort of borrowed mold usage that we've seen a bit in that corner of the toy world, like the OMF skeletons and Kilowargs. But given their association that sort of crossover at least seems plausible. We'll see what happens. I do hope those figures get made somehow.

I guess that means Pabs is officially out of the toy making business.

Pabs...

We never heard anything more about FMF's space line after around the time it was announced, right?

Edit: had to go back pretty far to find them on FMF's Instagram

Looking through all their old photos and realized that the harness this guy uses is the same sculpt that 3.75" Goregills uses.
They showed prototypes at a few shows, but we haven't seen anything on pre-order times or anything.

On some level I wonder if even they started to think they were overextending with all the preorders and they might need to hold off for a bit.

The only thing I wanted from that Voyagers line was Peter, but I  really want him.

I have a spot saved for him as Mr. Legacy's butler.

That they chose Dark Directive over Peter hurts me in the soul.

Never say never. Peter, other than the head, is almost all reuse so he'd be easy to get out there.

I was excited for Voyagers because it seemed to be going in the stylistic direction I had wanted Cosmic Legions to go. Hopefully they resurrect it in some way - maybe Monster Force can expand to outer space horror.

With all the directions BBWS is branching out, there's basically no chance they don't do astronauts. Probably -in addition to- more retro space stuff.

Robo's review of Chatsworth should be on his YT tonight, if not already. He looks like a great figure, and is MUCH better with this new body, as opposed to that awful mangy bear body they were originally going to use.
Only thing I wish he came with were fists to pummel fools with, but otherwise he looks amazing. Excited for BBTS to get him in now.
