Articulated Thoughts General Movie News & Discussion

Guillermo Del Toro is such a nice man. At comic con, he would sometimes walk around the exhibit hall with his entourage and talk to the fans. He would pose for selfies and answer questions. That's because he's a fan himself. He loves classic characters, especially literary characters like Frankenstein and Tarzan. He also used to talk about Flash Gordon and Justice League Dark quite a bit.

Making a Frankenstein movie based on Mary Shelley's 200+ year old novel has long been a dream of his. I'm so glad he got to do it. He deserves it.

Man, I think I've watched this trailer a hundred times already.

A star studded cast in a movie based on a timeless classic, written and directed by a man who was born to do it.

Hold me.

I saw Weapons today. That was a movie. No doubt. Threatening children into silence is not a trope I ever want to see again. It's been a long time since I checked my watch that many times during a movie.

Frankenstein definitely looks like a banger. Really hope to be able to catch it in theaters. Elordi's Frankie looks a lot like The Creature from Penny Dreadful, a favorite series of mine. If any of ya'll haven't seen it, but want something kinda spooky this Halloween season, I'd definitely recommend checking it out.

Excited for Scream 7 too! Wonder if that "'Tis the season" bit is just acknowledging it's now officially spooky season, or if they're doing something set around the holidays, as has been rumored/requested for a while. Would feel a bit odd releasing a holiday slasher in February, but I wouldn't be against it. I just need me some Ghostface goodness!
