Age of Primes

Is Computron confirmed to be happening? I'll get him/them for sure.
I just figure they'll get to him eventually. I don't foresee a big pivot from their current trajectory without a major media moment, like a new movie or a popular show.

I can't say I'll skip any of the combiner redos if they get around to them. I definitely want Abominus, as he was the only one I had complete as a kid. I love Computron's design and individual components, so I'd buy him too. Defensor is on the boring side to me, but I do like the variety of vehicles that make him, and the Protectobots theme. If there was any combiner I wouldn't ask for, it's Superion, who I think is the most boring of the G1 combiners. Those jets are all still indistinguishable from each other to me.

I appreciate that this go-round there's not much reuse aside from the same character again in different colors. I loved Combiner Wars at the time, but some of the reuse made them feel less authentic.

I was perfectly content with Combiner Wars, but in retrospect, it's clear that they can make them more stylistically accurate, and closer to the anime models. I have all the main combiners, the two female combiners, and the Autobot repaints of bots who weren't combiners. I'm not in a rush to replace any of them. But once they get around to them, I'd be shocked if I passed.

My Target had the Ultra Magnus, Bumper, Horri-Bull, and Nemesis Prime pack down to $27. Not something I was necessarily planning to add, but hard to pass up at that price. It had a $76.49 clearance sticker and I gave it a scan just in case, expecting to see 50% off.
$90 to $27, not bad.

Just grabbed Sureshot at Target this morning. I won’t be canceling my PO for him because he’s that good. Really unusual transformation sequence, much like Point Blank, but better, less gaps. Love these one of a kind sculpts. I’d read and heard about his conversion, and it really doesn’t disappoint. Colors pop, but the legs could use some paint hits. They’re very solid and plain. Aside from that, excellent figure to complete the first Autobot Targetmaster team.
Just opened him myself. The transformation is a lot, but ultimately seems to work outside of the exposed hands in alt mode. With the 900 steps already involved I'm shocked they didn't fold in.

The shoulder conversion confuses me every time, but I always eventually get there.

I finally opened the new Quickstrike. He's bigger then I thought he'd be. But then I compared him to the old one and he doesn't look too much bigger, but he is. He transforms easy. He didn't break like some of my other shit outa this box, so points for that. And the mold is fairly good. Still think hes too big, but maybe my memory is wrong. Oh well. Still a really nice glow up for him.

He does seem a bit on the big side, but I appreciate how solid he is because that allows for thicker plastic. He's also not very fiddly - the piece fit together nicely in beast mode.

Quickstrike seems big, but I like that. He’s one of my favorites, and I feel like the should be at least a bit intimidating considering his Fuzor status.

I still wish that Scorponok was bigger, even if he was small on the show, Scorponok’s figure was an ultra class, and was bigger than a lot of other characters. And of course the original Scorponok was massive.
