Age of Primes

I preordered the Combaticons, Sureshot, and the Primes. I didn’t have to get into the 13 Primes but they’re all pretty cool and new so far. I should have saved money by not getting them. But I don’t regret having them at least. Sureshot is a big want to complete the Autobot Targetmasters. Gotta get Blast Off and Brawl, but it’s Onslaught that I had as a kid, none of the others. He’s the BIG want now. Those prices are what they are. We are in dark times, but toys still light up my life.
 
I missed the Combaticons on Pulse. They sold out. Had to get them at BBTS. They are a necessity.

It may be for the best I scaled way back on Transformers purchases a few years ago. There was a time in the CHUG days when I felt they were the best value in figures and might even be underpriced when considering the engineering, piece count, movable parts, etc.

I need two more Aerialbots to complete the Superion I started a couple days ago. I have Air Raid on the way, $24.99, shipped and sold by Amazon. Slingshot is $30.50 from a Prime Seller. I think I'm going to go with BBTS and throw him into the POL even though I can have him delivered today from Amazon. I don't want the extra $5 cutting into my savings on Silverbolt 😆 Even having only having two limbs, I like Superion more than I thought. Didn't have Motormaster and was hesitant about the frame system.
 
Not real sure where to post about these, since they're SS molds but not SS figures, so I'll post here. I picked up the G2 versions of the Dinobots, mostly because they're the most memorable repaints from that era to me. They go well with the existing G2 homages they've released so far, like Megatron, Laser Optimus Prime, the conehead seekers. I prefer this blue Grimlock so much over the one with the wacky colors from Walmart. I wish they'd gone with the white version of Jazz too, with the music note graphics. I don't know why they went with the unreleased G2 designs instead. Speaking of unreleased, I still want them to complete the Stunticons. I forget which the last deluxe is they didn't get around to, but that one seems more likely than a release of Motormaster in G2 colors.
 
I'd order the Tigerhawk repaint cause I love the Tigerhawk figure they did, except, I love it with the DNA upgrades. I won't have those with this one. And the price is... disappointing. So I'll wait for a sale and maybe hope DNA comes out with the upgrade kit in new colors for this one. Otherwise I probably won't get him. I also wish they would've used a different head. I don't mind figures sharing the same molds, but differentiate them with different heads instead of just different colors. They've done it with other BW figures. Alot of them. I have most. That would make me like it more.

I thought I did a great job waiting on Silverbolt, then one week later I notice he's on clearance. He's in my favorites list on Target.com, now $76.49.
 
I don't think either of these are AotP figures, but seeing the reissue of Sunstreaker on the pegs next to the Gamerverse Sideswipe and Wheeljack is very satisfying.

That's funny ... I was thinking the same thing last night, standing in the toy aisle at Target, staring at all three.
 
Yeah...those three. As someone who has mostly gotten out of Hasbro Transformers they have been a very tempting rebuy. They would really fill out a nice core to have. During the recent Holiday Target coupon promotions, I picked up the two Combiners and I also bought a cheap Blitzwing from BBTS. I have Soundwave and Thundercracker on preorder and was thinking about adding a preorder on Megatron at BBTS (never seen him in-store)

Off the top of my head, I kept a decent roster but I sold those Autobot cars a while back along with Jazz and Prowl. This is what I have: SS OP, SS UM, SS BB, Skyfire, commander class Rodimus, the Dinobots, throne Starscream, Blaster, Arcee and Springer. I also have a few oddballs like Sky Lynx, Twincast, and I bought the Target Brawl/Ratchet pack when it was on clearance.
 
I put in a Megatron preorder after posting. I was doing one of those wait to see him in-store and decide then to buy, but someone was always one step ahead of me. Iirc, Grimlock was his case mate and he was always left behind on the shelf as a tease. I'm trying to keep things tight now, but it's a slippery slope.
 
Yeah I’ve kind of backed off transformers too. Price hikes on these seem a lot more egregious than other lines.

Decided to skip the combaticons.

Will definitely get the Soundwave and would probably bite on starscream. Maaaaybe get swoop to complete the dinobots.
