    McFarlane DC Multiverse

Opened Nicholson Joker, and man, what a fun figure! One of those ones that just makes me happy to look at, let alone play around with. Not perfect- the hair pieces especially don't quiiite sit right, though maybe with a little heat I can get them down a bit more. Still, it's not enough to ruin...

    Marvel Cinematic Universe Figure Discussion

I don't know if they'll ever go back and release figures for those older movies, as cool as it would be, but I wonder if you couldn't kitbash something together. This new Blade figure, along with some parts from the previous couple releases- the one from the Mindless One wave, maybe even way...

    Star Wars Black Series

Those troopers look ready to drop the most fire album this side of Coruscant! I agree- there's something really satisfying about the AT-RT driver. I always dug the Shoretrooper armor, and the cold-weather makeover for it looks really cool. Since he's basically a lovechild of the Snowtrooper and...

Selling Toys - Horror Stories & "Happy" Customers

Well, there's your first problem. Shooting Star Mega Transport Excellence Corporation shot my dog and banged my wife and then ordered $5000 worth of room service and charged it to my card. As such, I can't necessarily suggest using their services. But don't diss my boy Brayden. He's got kids to...

Selling Toys - Horror Stories & "Happy" Customers

That's happened to me before once or twice too. And then one day, out of nowhere, it just gets delivered. It's weird. If at all possible, I try to avoid any shipping thing that hands off to another shipper for the last stretch. I've never had any luck with it. One time, when it got handed off...

    Mattel MOTU Chronicles Movie Figures

Kinda reminds me of the voice he did for the Hatbox Ghost in the Haunted Mansion movie from a few years back. I guess if I have to be subjected to another Leto performance, it being behind a ghoulish visage is fitting and palatable. Still, even as someone barely familiar with the franchise, if...

    Marvel Cinematic Universe Figure Discussion

Found a couple of the D&W figures at Target- 3 Brown Suit Wolvie, 1 Sleeveless Wolvie, and 1 Blade. I grabbed the sleeveless Wolvie and Blade, thinking I'd get to take advantage of the spend 50, get $10 off, but I was 2 cents short of the threshhold (when make math, Josh brain no do good). But...

    McFarlane DC Multiverse

Maybe that's it- the hair. I don't dislike it, per se, on the deluxe, but I think it looks more natural, or better suited to the sculpt, with the hair on the regular one. Also ironic that the card for the regular edition shows the sword she doesn't come with. I'd have switched the character...

    McFarlane DC Multiverse

Right. I guess my complaint should be moreso that the deluxe is the only one that doesn't come with the smirking head, which I think is the more spot-on likeness, and feels the most like the character (at least what we've seen of her so far). The deluxe is my preferred version cuz of the...

    McFarlane DC Multiverse

Ironically, I think softgoods would've worked better for Lobo, and a plastic coat for Supergirl. Feels a bit too bulky as-is. Bummer that the deluxe Supergirl is the only one without the smirking head; that's the one I think looks the best.

    Mattel MOTU Chronicles Movie Figures

I'm pretty hip with the jive. And by that, I mean my hips are hurting. And my back. And my neck. I'm getting old.

We call that the "Lobo Low Blow". What's that old saying? "It's not the size of the Space Hog, but the feelin' of the squealin'."

So sorry that happened to you, Rick. Hopefully it's just a case of "you caught me on a bad day"- none of us are immune to a little attitude here and there. I know I always worry about how I'm coming across in my transactions with others- I try to show my appreciation while also not being too...

Just realized Lobo doesn't have a cigar either. Not the biggest deal- I'm sure there was some stipulation about him doing any tobacco products. Hell, it wasn't that long ago he couldn't even do guns with the figures. At least the Momoa likeness is still pretty good without one.

    Mattel MOTU Chronicles Movie Figures

Sorry that happened to you, Rick. Never a good feeling. I totally get it if you can't or don't want to, but let us know who it was so we can be wary if we ever do business with them. If it helps any, I think you're pretty swell! Just the fact you were willing to help us nerds out at all is...

    McFarlane DC Multiverse

Dang, I'll second that. Lobo and Krem look really frickin' cool. Don't know a thing about Krem, and something tells me he may be a one-and-done kind of villain, but I may pick him up on a sale. Not sure if I'll go full Hog on Lobo; depends on the movie. Since his jacket doesn't appear to be...

    Marvel Cinematic Universe Figure Discussion

Got my Dogpool (and Deadpool) set today; didn't get a chance to open it up yet, but I gotta say, it's been a while since I've seen a Legends figure that's so packed with stuff- the entire bubble is padded out, and there are even more accessories that are a bit hidden in the package, like the...

    Mattel Jurassic Park Lines

Don't think I've ever heard of the Terraventure line, but that egg incubator looks pretty cool, as do some of the little dinos; love the look of that Spino. I'm not a fan of blind boxes, but I may have to give these a try.

    McFarlane DC Multiverse

Went and picked up the Jonkler, and sure enough, it was the basic version, thank goodness. They had 2 more behind glass (where they keep all their figures now that trading cards have taken over). Some last minute home maintenance came up, so I didn't get a chance to crack him open tonight, but...

    NECA - General Thread

I believe the Ultimate Xenomorph XX121 from Romulus that came out a year-ish ago is a new, reworked version of Big Chap. I don't have it, nor am I one of those sticklers for accuracy when it comes to the Xenos, so I can't say how "accurate" it is to the OG movie, or if the design was reworked at...

Selling Toys - Horror Stories & "Happy" Customers

Seriously. What even is the end goal there? For you to raise your price, then they send you an offer for what you were originally asking for? Is it some reverse psychology or something? I doubt all these collectors were just hit with a wave of empathy all at once.

    Micro Galaxy Squadron

My stores have all but stopped carrying the line. I don't remember the last time I saw anything on the shelf, to the point that I keep forgetting the line exists, until I see some sort of post, usually from Mattel about a new Vault drop or something. I really wanted to get into the line, and...

    DCAU/Batman Animated

We did get the Batman Who Laughs and Azrael figures from The Adventures Continue (the former of which I don't think ever actually appeared in the comic). A re-release of Batman and Catwoman too, with an unmasked head for the latter. Forever bummed that Todd never made the Vampire Batman or Talon...
