Marvel Legends Preorders - When and Where

Another vote of confidence for War of Kings! I've also been wanting to revisit the Jenkins Inhumans series for a while - now is as good a time as any!

The main difference here is that covid was an unexpected, uncontrollable shock to the entire world's economy that no one could predict or control. It had real inflationary impacts that took years to get in line. This time, the price jumps are being driven entirely by a set of policy choices by a...

I don't have any advice for you, but I'm excited to see what you get! All the QC issues I've had in recent memories resulted in exact replacements, but every now and then you see a story where someone gets something crazy. A recent reddit post had someone getting GI Joe Classified Serpentor as a...

I think there's a slim but decent chance they revisit OG Shatterstar. It's a really cool design that could translate into an impressive figure - he's got swords, and a rat tail (sometimes more than one!), and a cool flowing cape. It really could be a great figure if they did it right. I'd...

Praise be! They might as well get started on the rest of the MLF while they're at it - they've gotta fight somebody. I'd buy that Grizzly. The other one, too.

Agreed. Yeah, if prices continue to jump due to Trump taxes and demand stays exactly the same then sure - there's no reason to bring them down again, even once the taxes go away. More likely they're already seeing a hit to total sales, and things are almost certain to get worse as prices...

Rocket Raccoon with a giant over the top gun would be a quirky novelty, but not the most exciting release. Of course, the actual figure would probably be dope as hell to tempt a purchase. I've also seen Marvel Rivals Iron Man thrown out as a guess (that might have been someone here).

    Marvel Legends Two-Packs

Totally understand! I'm just shouting it from the rooftops every chance I get. But also, you're crazy and the Inhumans are awesome and worth their weight in gold. When they finish the team with a Maximus the Mad / Luna 2-pack in 2027 I'll happily pay the $299.99 post-tariff rate in whatever...

    Marvel Legends Two-Packs

This looks really great. I'm looking at that DCUC body, though, and I have to ask - how many years ago is "a handful"? Is this a time is a flat circle moment? I've frozen all of my purchasing for the foreseeable future due to a financial crunch, but I'm (probably) going in on these at MSRP. I'm...

    Marvel Legends Two-Packs

Not picking on you, but it can't be pointed out often enough: the current out of control presidential administration is 100% responsible for this latest round of price hikes, and likely more to come. So, despite all their sins, Hasbro hasn't priced you out - Trump's taxes have.

I didn't really clock that with Black Bolt because Triton was stealing all the attention, but I completely agree. Short of actual flexible material (which would undoubtedly be fragile and not look that great) this is a good solution. It feels like Black Bolt has finally been done properly.

I'm with Chooch. I straight up love calzones and I don't care how many Parks & Rec references I have to endure to sing their praises.

Oooh, that's an exciting guess. Definitely ready for a new Smart Hulk - the last one was Toy Biz Hulk Classics over 20 years ago!

I'd like him to give Dwight a big 'ol kiss on the lips for the beautiful Inhumans figures we're getting. And then grill him about why we can't have proper torso articulation across every release.

Which MCU Logan figure? I'm MCU-ML illiterate.

    Skurge the Executioner BAF Wave

It's nothing to write home about, but I think the legs on WBN are new? If you're just referring to the opportunity to obtain more figures then sure. I thought we were discussing the overall value of what we are purchasing/paying for, in which case a wave moving from 7 figures to 6 is only a...

    Skurge the Executioner BAF Wave

This doesn't really make sense though, as figures are sold individually and not as waves. You're not "losing" anything if a wave has 6 vs 7 figures; you're paying the same amount per figure, there just aren't as many of them. I don't disagree about the BAF, though, unless someone can go through...

This is where I land. These seem very much like Avengers waves rather than a random grab bag.

Close enough! I like being able to set up pivot tables for additional info - for example, I can tell I spent $781 on Mafex figures in 2024. It's not super necessary, but it's fun to see and helps me figure out where I'm spending.

I appreciate the suggestion - I actually like Excel, so it's not a burden. And I hate the idea of volunteering all that data to a single service. I know they can probably get most of it anyway, but they have to work for it. Maybe you TFitz'd yourself! "Stupid future me is gonna have a whole...

You guys don't obsessively track all of your preorders and purchases in a spreadsheet, to such a minute level of detail that it feels like managing Excel is your REAL hobby? Weird.

Forums are so much better than social media for all the reasons stated. If this forum community went away (and it almost did!) I honestly think my collecting would take a nosedive as I'd basically disengage from everywhere else this information is available. I browse reddit, but jesus it sucks...
