I don’t know whether to praise or curse Todd, but thanks to the half assed nature of some of his figures, I have learned how to wire capes, add thigh articulation, add more ab crunch, and so on. I just finished doing all of those mods to the new Batman Inc. figure and the rebirth figure...

Got Rebirth Batman in from the McF store and Batman Inc. from eBay today. Rebirth is all reuse, of course, but cape is actually quite nice, but no wire. I think I can do the same mod as the NML Bats from earlier this year. Inc. has a new head sculpt that I quite like, though it’s back to...

I read bleeding cool religiously, and I generally like their editorial point of view. They also have really good sources within the industry, but in my experience, they are not very plugged in on the toy scene.

Not good with it, but I think this time they at least made that clear from the get-go (unlike NML Batman).

I think on the last episode of the show, they said the next one would be a week or two after NYCC and serve as a wrap up of sorts. Also, I’m sticking with my pet theory that Absolute figures will serve as the debut of Mattel. Don’t get me wrong, have zero inside info here, but just makes so...

On IG, the designer said he’s aware of the concern, and is trying to balance a proportionate chest with the articulation, primarily the butterfly joints.

Lead designer for LPZZ/UPF (@mightyedwardno1) just posted a pic of the Bruce Wayne head sculpt, looks good (sorry, don’t know how to post from IG).

What an amazing time to be a 1/12 Batman figure collector! Between LPZZ/UPF and InArt, we have the following Batman variations to look forward to: Arkham City Hush Absolute (both companies!) TDKR White Knight BvS (both companies!) Arkham Origins (both companies!) The Batman (both...

Lots of cool new stuff @ Wonder Fest, including Absolute Batman (InArt making one too!), Arkham Asylum Batman, and new shots of BvS Bats and the Hush figures.

Ditto! Been refreshing IG like crazy, but it’s only about 8AM in Shanghai, so it will probably be a few more hours until more pics.

Most interested in Absolute Batman, White Knight Batman, and Dark Knight Returns Batman.

I’m hoping the figure is cast in grey and a little nail polish remover will take care of that dumb glow effect. Other than that, it’s actually a pretty decent figure.

100%. It’s an overused term, but that’s my grail figure. Best ever Batman artist, IMO.

I have a feeling you’re on to something here. For me, it would not be the ‘end all be all’ figure, because there are so many comic-based looks that I would still want, even some that have already been done (Capullo, Kelly Jones, Jim Lee, Marshall Rogers, Aparo, etc.).

Mainly for budget and space reasons, I tried to stick exclusively to just Batman figures, but that Joker is pretty tempting, such a classic look. I’m OK with the hat being sculpted on, makes for a more streamlined look, and there are plenty of other options without the hat. It’s kind of...

Batman Who Laughs just went up for PO, set to ship Q4 this year! Looks great, comes with tons of accessories, but zero interest, always thought it was a rare misfire from Scott Snyder. My big takeaways here are that hopefully this means the Hush Batman will ship sooner than later, and will...

I’m sticking with my guess that Mattel will kick off their line with Absolute versions of the Trinity. My hunch is that Todd is not being allowed to make those.

    UPF (Formerly LPZZ Toys)

Well, their Deathstroke figure went up for preorder a few weeks ago, and is expected in Q1 of next year, so hopefully that means that the Hush Batman actually releases in the first half of next year sometime.

    UPF (Formerly LPZZ Toys)

According to their lead designer who posts on IG, should be up for PO a lot sooner than that, definitely before year’s end. He said we would see updated versions at the Wonder Festival event in Shanghai in a couple of weeks.

    Best Matt Wagner Batman?

Well, there’s the DC Direct Trinity one from years back that’s based on Wagner’s art. Almost no articulation though.
