Agreed. Hasbro is not going to do two new sculpts for these average-build white boys. In fact, they likely won't be new sculpts at all. You're probably looking at the 97 Sunspot buck being sold to you two more times. They just aren't that kind of company.

Based on the image above, they could do the Walgreens concept again - one taller female for Dani, Karma and Magma, one shorter female for Rahne and Magik (and Kitty if they wanted), one shorter male for Doug and Sunspot, and one taller for Sam.

You being a customizer back in the day on the FWOOSH know more about bodies and such so I will take you word on it. It just looks real similar to that body. The hand shapes, upper arm sculpt. the bald head without the hair on top because I took the helmet off one of mine and that head sculpt looks real similar. The big kicker the ML team not mentioning anything about being on a new body. Furthermore we don't need another oversize Thor. Thor should be in-scale with the new body Thor figures we have now.

I'm going to keep tuned on Dan's X to see if anyone asks. I would think if it was a new body they would have mentioned something.

Given how beautifully the Inhumans turned out, I'll hold on to some optimism that the New Mutants could be done right. It ain't all bad.

With more New Mutants on the horizon and the uptick in BAF rereleases, a deluxe Warlock also seems very likely. He's one of my favorite BAFs of all time, and a rerelease could do some fun stuff with new heads/expressions, arms, etc.

I think I'd prefer depowered first? Then we can get a (better) Sunspot and Magma and Rahne and maybe retry the blasting Cannonball...

One small thing that gives me some hope about Sam and Doug being on different bodies is that both of their heads are featured on the card art. I don't think they've ever promoted a pack-in alternate head that way before.

This is the image... If they had done alternate heads of Doug and Bobby on the same body that is actally appropriate and I would have eagerly boght two. (to be honest, I did buy two Roberto's and pop a repainted Franklin Richards head on rhe second for Doug)

Sam is a head taller than both of them and should never share a body with them.

Were DaCosta and Doug really short in NM? I don't think I've seen Cannonball depicted as very tall in X-Force or any other book besides NM. Granted, I haven't read much of either, but I'm assuming everyone caught up to Cannonball.

Cypher and Sunspot are still short as adults but Sam isn't any taller than the average X-Man. Cypher's wife is way taller than him.

I guess I always assumed Sam just hit his growth spurt before the other boys. In modern comics I think Sam and Roberto are roughly the same size.

I think that's what happened. According to the official stats, Sam is 6'0, Doug 5'9, and Bobby 5'8 but most modern art depicts Sam and Bobby as the same height, or with Sam just a hair taller.
