Regardless, a raised profile for Swamp Thing would go a long way for more figures under the new Mattel regime. The movie would have been optional, but a comic that sells well with a decent creative pedigree would work too. Paired with the upcoming Zatanna ongoing series, I think it’s a pretty good entry point to revitalize DC’s supernatural/horror genre. If you’ve not read it, the Zatanna mini series by Jamal Igle was excellent. Jamal returns for the new ongoing title coming in a few months.

That was the Black Label mini series that came out before the Igle series. Didn’t read it. Heard it was good. May get the trade.

I've always liked Zatanna, though I've never read one of her solo books. The idea of reading half the dialogue backward is a drag.

I might pick up Jamal Campbell's current run. I've heard good things.

I thought it was quite good. And a good jump off point for lots of related characters. There were hints of that in the Igle mini. No spoilers but Blue Devil was kinda prominent. Hard to believe that he hasn’t had his own book since the 80’s.

And that Todd hasn’t gotten to him either.

I always loved her cameo appearances in Shadowpact and all the DC stuff I read/watched growing up, but yeah, I don't really want her in any capacity more than just that.

I always thought she had way more potential than just as a guest star or team member. I also, somewhat ironically, love her in the Justice League Dark. Both series. Makes me want to see Todd do the Upside Down Man before he finishes.

Only thing that really bugs me is her pairing with John Constantine. I feel like no matter how charming or manipulative he is, she’d be smart enough to see through it.

She was also an unfortunately crucial part of Identity Crisis. At least that put her on the league for a bit.

I actively loathe both JL Dark and Identity Crisis but she's not the bad parts of either, at least.
