Sporty Girl, the Crazy Figure demo figure that is not a blank, came from Gun Dammit in a Show-Z box from... Toronto. Despite the shipping saying it's in China still.

Whatever. She's here and rad.

The Crazy Figure body is light but sturdy. Joints are firm, you can hit Spider-Man poses with the range. I love that she comes with all the hands. She's got an okay hand and throwing up the horns, grip, relaxed, pinching for small accessories like her glasses or lollipops, and unexpectedly for me, since she's a sports girl, trigger fingers and the appropriate hands for holding a rifle/shotgun/melee.

She also has alternate huge boobs if that's what you're into.

I believe exclusive to this set besides from the sports stuff is the fact she has socks, wristbands, hard plastic trainers instead of bare feet, and her head. Which is a very nicely done young woman with brown eyes and brown hair in pigtails. She really looks like Mari from EVA, minus the pigtails.

You can swap the bangs out so it looks like she's wearing a visor. On the neutral bangs I think it's interesting that the glasses plug into the fringe and not just resting on her face. It works! It just means you can't have a no glasses option without the visor. The holes are pretty conspicuous.

She's also got this cheerleading outfit which is really generic purple and white, and it would be cool but the chest says I'm a Player. Sure, Jan. Time to get more soft goods.

But the cheerleader outfit is cool with my new Valaverse shotgun pack so I can get my Lollipop Chainsaw on.

I know the generic blank body has been out for a bit, but if anyone missed the notes on that, the head is this weird circular plug instead of a ball socket. I have not done any head swaps yet.

10/10, glad I picked up. Also, I think mine is the special bonus version where she comes with an iPhone wired into headphones. I appreciate that.
 
I'm still waiting on mine to ship from an AliExpress seller, but happy to hear she turned out well.

My 3rd party Ash Ketchum came right before the holiday, and he's a nice figure. The soft goods are nice and he's got a pretty good selection of hands. He also comes with an extra swappable face, a Pikachu, Pokeball and a Pokedex. The only drawback is, the skin tone on the body is darker than the pale skin painted on the heads and hands.

While on AliExpress I found a soft goods 1/12 scale Jackie Chan in more traditional garb with a paper fan, large jug and box of goods. It looks like it's a shrunk down 1/6 head sculpt, but the photos looked good enough, so I bought one.
 
Crocodiles are cool, but I’m really excited RomankeyXCowl’s Oni Girl has finally gone from “contextless image posted on social media” to figure I can actually pre-order! Been waiting on this one! Had to get both versions! Painted one gonna go sit on the shelf because she looks cool, unpainted staying on the desk with my other posing blanks for fidget posing!

Speaking of! My Nottaa-03 “Home Body” (“Middle Aged”/Fat Guy) arrived the day after Christmas and man is he a lot of fun to pose, so much fun in fact I decided I needed the Nottaa Cyan Lion as well (was just gonna get one of the two Blue Lions coming out, was gonna Furay’s to go with my othet Furay figures but… gotta get both now! Seeing people’s in hand pics of Cyan, if he poses as Smooth as Homebody he’ll be a real treat!… but now I really need the Nottaa-04 ladies to beat the CNY crunch because I need them NOW)

Good shout. Copped a Deluxe. Would have missed it if you didn't say.
 
I ended up with some extra Christmas cash, so I put in a few orders. I picked up the Figura Obscura Mouse King and Genesha, as well as the Maestro Union Immortal Legend Syuten Douji from 5K (he looks like a massive, fun, hunk of plastic love).

To round things out, I also grabbed from 5K the Fury Toys Abyss Force Great White (Arthur), the Xesray Hildr, and last week I got the Fury Toys Azure Lion.

I think this might be the largest order I've ever put down for 3rd party/independent stuff all at once. I still love my NECA's and McFarlane's and all the rest, but I'm finding more and more joy lately in the 3rd party stuff. You can just really see the passion and artistry these creators have for these original characters (and sometimes not-so-original) and they rarely feel like copy/paste.
