McFarlane DC Multiverse

My heart hopes all of these are true and my wallet is desperately hoping none of it is true! Oh my goodness...going out with a bang. I am so far behind in my Multiverse buying because of trying to keep up with all the Marvel Legends I want that have/are releasing this year. SIGH.

This is an ever changing landscape. Any of that could be true. Or not. Who knows? Nothing on that list is outrageous or over the top. In fact, most of it would make sense as we wind down.

Besides the obvious comic ones like Ivy and Harley, I'm holding out hope for a Panther Suit Kilmer and Routh Superman. And even though I think he's an idiot, I still want a Cain Superman because his show meant a lot to me as a kid. He's not on that list and I don't think it's going to happen, but it would have been cool.

Also hoping that Batmissile rumor is true.

I have a lot more faith in that top section than the bottom section. I'll continue to buy McF figures in 2026 but I'm going to be quite a bit more selective as I don't expect to keep a lot of my McF stuff long term as the license transitions back to Mattel. I'm expecting a lot of rereleases and repaints to finish the year in 2026 as McF tries to take full advantage to profit off of stuff that he's already worked on.

Well if everything on these lists is true, it probably takes us to October. When Todd will have to start liquidating his DC inventory.

Hot take reaction is that there’s lots of Batman, lots of live action Superman, including Supergirl, but kinda surprisingly, not too much Flash or Green Lantern. I wish there were more deeper cuts like Barda and Hawk and Dove. I’m personally very disappointed that Todd seems to have pulled back on JSA.

I'm not a big DC guy but I would think even if Todd went the route he went with the Margot Robbie figure, a lot of people would show up for a Grannie Goodness & Furies set. I think they're important enough to flank Darkseid as Kalibak was. Plus a Parademon figure would probably sell too. Even if he has to produce them in smaller quantities and stick them at Gamestop, I think people would want them. I think this current list likely takes us to about April / May, so I'd imagine he might have one more wave or half-wave of releases before he starts having to wrap it up.

My understanding is that he may still get to produce in areas that Mattel isn't interested? Be it Todd'sModz, the smaller Superfriends-styled retro figures, PVC statues, and potentially the animated line?

Really hope McFarlane does the Lanterns tv show costumes.

By the time Mattel gets past its initial classic offering we will be 3 years deep into the Absolute universe with nothing to show for it from the main license holder.
