Marvel Legends Gamerverse

I think the Kitty/Colossus 2pk will provide most of what's necessary for a Gamerverse Colossus, as we don't truly have a 90s Gold team version of him yet and the two are mostly the same. Hopefully he'll have butterfly joints in the chest so he can do some Juggernaut / Zangief-style belly flops.

Costume from the astonishing era is completely different though.

In the comics perhaps, but this figure is different in what ways from the 90s? Different boot tops, flared shoulder tips, belt and bracers? Most of that can be accomplished with overlays. Maybe if we're talking Excalibur Colossus, then he'd at least have the cutouts on his pant legs but these differences are pretty marginal.

Oooh I hadn't considered that might be how they'd drop a 90's Colossus. That's a good point. The boot tops are a little different between the game and the comic, but not enough that it'd stop me. I wonder how long that would take, though. It's been a while since the last Colossus release.

Any ideas for a cigar to stick into Nick Fury's mouth? Looks weird without something in there....

Not as simple as a toothpick or piece of twisty tie, but.

Sorry it took so long, but for those looking for cigars for the Gamerverse (or any) Fury.

Just search dollhouse cigars on AliExpress. Mine came in a pack of 12, and they're soft enough that you could cut it thin on the end for an open mouth, and to make it look like it has been smoked, and even glue a little 'smoke' on the end.

I had a vague notion to try and adapt one of the smoking gun barrel effects into a cigar for Fury’s mouth or a cigarette to sit between the fingers of a spare Gambit hand but haven’t settled on how to do it until I saw Robo’s video and borrowing Anthony’s twisty tie method. I reckon maybe with some care I could seat the smoke trail into the end of the plastic tubing and make a nice prop…

Well for starters he had the flared tunic and he wore heavily armored boots and gauntlets to separate the design from the 70’s. Also the X insignia on his belt was a completely different t shape and color. Not to mention in MvC he’s a brick shit house and the Astonishing figure is nowhere near as large

After months and months of waiting and a couple weeks of him being MIA in the USPS tracking system, my Shuma Gorath aka Gargantos has FINALLY arrived at my doorstep in all his cycloptic, tentacular glory. I can't wait to sit down, open him up, and get to tormenting Doctor Strange with some Interdimensional magical mischief.

So we're talking, what, different shoulders, knees and a few overlays? Seeing what we actually got from the MvCapcom universe it's apparent that most of the Capcom designs are more or less a suggestion. Juggernaut wasn't even the right color in most places for crying out loud! Psylocke was noticably "de-animated" in her appearance, War Machine has too many discrepancies to mention, and Wolverine seems to have been the closest to model overall with the exaggerated mask tips and claws. I don't see anything from Astonishing Colossus that excludes it from being used as a base on which to build a more 90s/Capcom hybrid aesthetic from. We'll be lucky if we don't get a mostly reissue X-Men 97 red/purple Magneto should they ever decide to give us a "Capcom" version.

Dang, I was watching Anthonyscustom's Top 10 MLs list and he noted how some newer releases of Wolverine from the 2pack have knees that match the rest of the legs. Mine are from a preorder/release copy, and his knees are more orange than yellow. Anybody else luck out with yellow knees? It's not really worth ordering off Pulse to try to get one with better knees but it does leave me a little bitter about my favorite ML of the year.
