We needed a thread to discuss this. I've enjoyed the line so far and most of the figures have been really well done.

That said I'm concerned for the company and the future of the line with the economic situation going on right now.

How much are you willing to pay for a standard OMF figure if prices increase? Currently they have gone from $36.99 to $39.99

I've mentioned before, but I check out this, Crimson Moon, and the Soldiers lines on BBTS a couple times a month and lust after them like I used to with the little product booklets Kenner included with Star Wars vehicles. $40 was almost definitely too much for me, so tariffs will price me out without question. Which is a bummer.

I love the lore behind the line so much and it was honestly what eventually got me into it. Same with Cosmic Legions. But it would be an easy line to drop if things get bad because it doesn't ping my nostalgia spot.

Right, a lot of work went into this even beyond the designs and figures themselves, which really elevates the hell out of the line.

I'll stick with it until it ends I think. I love monsters, so this line was something I was looking forward to since it was announced. That being said, I might not get to Army build as much as I would like if the prices skyrocket. I've got a bunch of them preordered, so we'll just see how it goes.

I’m in for pretty much whatever they ask for the Crimson Moon line. Obviously if things get too crazy then it’ll kill any impulse buys for some of the random other guys.

I have the Crimson Moon preordered too, but they aren't as big for me. Not really sure why. They're still cool.

I think I mentioned on one of the iterations of the forum that I had previously ordered the entire Crimson Moon line and then cancelled.?

The prices increased but I re-ordered. I'm weak. And I like this line. I'm kind of at the limit of what I want to pay for these right now.

I have them all preordered, but I'm only getting multiples of one. The guy whith the robot parts. The fact that they're an organization that is defunct by the time Monster Force proper actually starts makes me eat them a little less.

I truly hope this line continues.
They gave me the closest thing I’ve ever gotten to a book-accurate Dracula (only his “de-aged and dressed up for London” look so far, but still) and that builds a ton of good will with me. I’m more interested in the outright monsters and the Nazi-esque “sleepwalkers” (as BAD GUYS to be clear, no interest in lionizing Nazis here) than in the modern troops (unless they are vampires or zombies of course, hehehe) but overall I love this line. I keep Dracula and the demon goat from Naughty or Nice (who I just call “Black Philip”) in my Nosferatu coffin/popcorn box at my office and yoink them out on tough virtual appointments to fiddle with under the camera so I stay focused. That Dracula is low-key my favorite figure of 2024.

Mine was the Figura Obscura Frankenstein's Creature for a lot of the same reasons. I love that we got a book accurate look. I was very tempted by the goat, but haven't pulled the trigger yet. My favorite thing about the Sleepwalkers is that they're actually good guys. They're just being controlled by Calagiri, who is currently one of my most anticipated figures period.

Caligari is going to be AMAZING.

And yes the FO Frankenstein Creature was AMAZING, and I can’t wait for the (hopefully inevitable) FO Dracula.

I’ll be honest and say the they were pretty close to their price limit before the tariffs

Look, I’m a big fan of their lines and used to post updates all the time on the Fwoosh, but I’m at the point 3+ waves in where I think FMF/BBW isn’t necessarily great at this. Their price was always a bit too high to a true complementary line to classified or other more mainstream lines like Valaverse’s stuff, but now they’re kinda pushing into that mythic legions and Super7 tier of figures. I’m not sure how well they can compete at that tier. Original characters in Monster Force can probably be successful (though they’ll need to increase tooling), but I don’t really know how well things like Soldiers of Fortune can do at that price point.
