Kinda feels like ROC was a low point in terms of taking risks on designs or character inspiration. The designs all kinda come across as GI Joe knockoffs instead of GI Joe inspired.

This is supposed to be a ninja? There’s really nothing to communicate that. This would be a pass for me.
The design is to “super-hero” for this genre, in my opinion. I find that the case with most of the movie designs.
Secondly, I always felt the RAH hero leaned too hard into the ninja gimmick, and I felt it took away from military aspect of the line. That may be an unpopular opinion, but I’ve passed on many of the classified ninja characters already, and would probably pass on this one too.

This was right in the middle of Destro's presentation for the new Combat Johnny, but he didn't fret because he knew the Joes would be interested, even if they would come to refer to it as the 'combat shitter'.
