Skurge the Executioner BAF Wave

I get it. But on the other hand, I don't. Some of you want to wait an extra 2-3 *years* for a re-release? Instead of just buying the wave and selling off the figures you don't want?

I can barely stand to wait 2-3 weeks when I know there's a hole on my shelf I can finally fill.
He's not an X character so it's not a huge deal for me. And based on conversations in my local scene which is where I will be selling, a lot of these are hard sells.

Enchantress is a Dazzler foe, though. Mandatory.

Had this pop up in my Facebook memories. Wish it had a couple days ago. Heh.

The only real arguments I have for them not rereleasing him are Hela and Ulik (I think that's who it was). I don't ever remember those getting rereleased. But they aren't BaFs, they are comicon figures. So I'm willing to gamble and wait a couple years for a figure I've already waited like a decade for. And if I don't get him, I don't get him. But I'm not great at selling figures. I just don't like any of that scene, or at least any of it that would help me recoup some cost. I legitimately gave my friend 30% of my WWE collection money, just to have him sell it for me. And he found 1 guy, to buy the whole lot for like $1400. I would never be able to do that. And I would absolutely go apeshit on someone who was trying to scam me. Selling stuff is very difficult with my mental issues. I have a bunch of figures I could care less about just for the BaF from years past, and a bunch of other things stored away I could sell for a nice chunk of change. I'm talking at least 5 digits worth. And I just won't cause I don't wanna go through the hassle of it all. He had to take pictures of everything and seperate all the accessories and post it all and then just to have 1 dude go "I'll buy everything." That just... I unno, feels like a giant headache I don't want, and I probably won't ever be able to unload it like he did. So if I could have someone else do it and make it worth it, I would consider continuing to buy those unwanted figures for the BaF. But I don't. And I don't have the money or the space to continue to do so otherwise. Now a couple of the other figures are interesting, and I would consider getting them on sale. But I will only buy 2 full price. I can't justify the rest.

A deluxe release Ulik did happen from Walmart I believe it was. He had different heads than the SDCC version.

Comic Hela remains unreleased though.

Yea I couldn't remember if he was released again or not.

Blastaar may be the other one I forgot. There was at least 1 more and I can't remember which it was. In any event, comicon figures, not BaFs. I'd say Skurge has a great chance of being rereleased.

I still love that Blastaar as that look was part of Annihilation, but man, I'd love a classic version.

It was Target. Picked him up on clearance. He's a really great figure.

Off the top of my head, and there are probably some I'm forgetting, but Hela and Satana are both convention exclusives that haven't seen rerelease for reasons unknown. I have to think Skurge will get some sort of deluxe rerelease at some point though. He was too demanded of a figure for them to not revisit with a repaint of some sort.

I would never assume a re-release for any figure. I am still hoping for the Mindless Ones BAF to be made available for army building for example as that seems like a no-brainer to me for Pulse.

I know we joke about something being fixed in the re-release but it probably happens a lot less than we think it does, especially for characters Marvel does not seem to consider its A-listers

It super duper doesn't matter, but Ulik is actually a Wal-Mart exclusive (in the US at least). I kept the tab open on his order page for what must have been 18 months waiting on a sale since I already had the box set version. Even having the original he's a great figure.

I remember Ulik being Walmart exclusive, but wound up being available other places too. That figure can still be found on Amazon for <$20.

I'm tired of having to buy a figure I have no interest in to get one that I do.
Not to retread this conversation but this succinct sentence sums how how I've felt about MLs since ~2023's Avengers subline. I realize this conversation is more about past and future figures that "go together" but just the mindset that Hasbro can and will string you along for years and then throw the last figure you need into a multipack or exclusive (or just not make it at all) is diabolical. If these things were priced fairly it would be one thing, but as figures approach $35 after tax, nah, I'm not taking chances or expecting anything positive.
