Hasbro possibly doing Tron?

Just saw Tron Ares. Hmmm.

A 3-D printed soldier with long flowing hair and facial hair makes absolutely no sense in the digital or real world - that shit is hard to render! That issue aside, the movie is a fun romp with very little heft. I thought Greta and Evan did interesting turns with their unoriginal characters and arcs. Jodie was great as Athena - thought it would have been cool if she'd been the lead - she's got the hair for it.

Still only want the Garrett Hedlund figure.

It's going to take off now leaving a light wall blur all the way to 10K.

I was trying to think of old timey properties I would realistically overpay for. I would say Ripley with some Colonial Marines. Obviously Dutch and his crew. I can see Die Hard being hard to say no to. Mclane, Hans, Karl. Reginald VelJohnson! Unless it's GI Joe, I don't need anything stretching out for years. Give me a few hits and move on to the next

What are Hasbro's plans though? They couldn't have been so delusional to base the future of 375 off a successful Tron Haslab?

One thing that's worth remembering is that sometimes corporate politics mean that you let an initiative go that you don't actually believe in specifically to make a fool of someone you don't want to gain more power within the company.

I'm not saying that's what is happening here, I have no idea. But whenever I see companies doing weird seemingly unhinged things I think about how it might not be about successful product at all.

I love Tron. I've enjoyed all three movies, and find it to be a fun, underrepresented property that has never had its due. That having been said, this HasLab is ridiculous. The price for these is just delusional, in every way possible. I don't see the value here at all, and that has nothing to do with my lack of interest in 3.75.

I'm interested in the 1:12 offerings, but I find it odd to start with figures from the second film only. Don't get me wrong...I like what they've shown, and I think it's cool to get a wave that covers the must-have characters from a film, but I'm not sure how the line can have legs that way. Wouldn't it have made more sense to do a wave mixing characters from all three films? I can't help but think this entire Hasbro Tron line is DOA before it has even begun.
