General Marvel Legends

Spidey line looks like it's been done, but even if they were coming, I wouldn't sell those characters if you were looking to placehold. It'll probably be a while.

I wouldn't even count on a '97 Colossus anytime soon, so don't sell him.

Yeah I feel like the Spidey line is done for now too which is a shame but I think it's literally Blade and Punisher that are missing the most maybe Mordo and The Spot too. We are obviously very unlikely to get Wong again as the Strange and Wong 2 pack Wong is good enough. Man-spider would be a welcome addition too and the toy-biz one is very dated.

The X-men 97 line is going to keep on pumping out wave after wave if the 2nd season is as successful as the 1st I think. Just need another wave or 2 to finished an ideal complete 1st season selection of characters.

Thanks for the advice 😀

Surely it updated more than weekly. I remember lots of back and forths. No way that would have taken months and lost energy. Maybe I'm remembering wrong. That was a long time ago.

Sorry to poke in with more off-topicness, but did anyone hang out on the spawn.com forums back in the day? That was my haunt for toy discussion.

Man... RTM... I remember when Eric Myers and Jason Geyer decided to make the site and move discussion from Rec.Toys.Misc (same initials for both, see) to the site. Those were heady days in the action figure collecting world - 1701 Star Trek chase figures, "party" Angela, The 1990's were wild, man.

We’ll see how this new cycle does against my old Toy Biz ML 7 skull cycle though. (I kept the red hellfire variant). That Toy Biz cycle is going to be tough to beat. Hard to believe that combo (figure and cycle) cost less than $10 back in the day.
Size creep makes the Toybiz one too small, but yeah, what a dang deal those were back in the day.

My family was in our "poor phase" when Legends really hit it big back in the day, so even as a kid, I was hyper aware of the price. I remember when they reached $12 in my neck of the woods back then and wondering if it was something I was gonna be able to keep collecting. Then $15 came and I was like "this is it- I'll never be able to get an action figure again". And when Hasbro got the license and dropped the diorama pieces (I'm a sucker for a good diorama piece, and the early 00's were prime time), I thought there was just no point to it anymore.

Here we are however many years and over $10 more, and I count my lucky stars if a figure gets an accessory other than swappable hands. Far less vehicle packs and multi-packs; hell, not even always a BAF piece, but still I give in. I am but a simp, a mere cuck for little plastic people.
