Star Wars Black Series

Will this be the impact event that introduces a "thumbs down" reaction option?
Maybe a clown face. "Doc got CLOWNED."

Really this might be the thing that gets me to cut down on screen time. I can't fucking see and can't get in to see a specialist until August to try to fix it so about halfway through the day I'm seeing the world through a kaleidoscope.

I don't know, but is that trailer legitimate? It's not on Disney or Star Wars main YouTube Channels, and that same channel that has the trailer in question, AD_Edits, had a trailer a month ago with Talon looking like that in it which I do believe was just an edited fake. They are definitely using real footage from Maul: Shadow Lords, but are those images of Talon real? I don't think they are.

Also, I believe the Twi'Lek Jedi Survivor in this show is set to become Maul's protégé, thus basically making her the Canon Talon. Maybe.

But I don't know if those images of Talon in that trailer from AD_Edits are real.
Thaaaat explains it. I didn't click on the link Doc provided, I just went to the Star Wars Youtube and watched that trailer, hence why I didn't see Talon. I thought I was going crazy there for a second, scrubbing through trying to find something that everyone else was seeing. 😅

But yeah, I'm fully expecting her to appear eventually. If not this season/show, maybe the next one. Though if her appearance is the cliffhanger and then we never get a season 2, Imma be piiiissed.

For some reason, Disney seems content to actually FINISH its animated shows. One of the other reasons I love 'em. The fact that they let the Bad Batch get a full, fulfilling, thoughtful arc is astounding to me. If Filoni has blackmail pics somewhere, I'm glad he uses some of that power to make sure the animated shows don't get the shaft the way Disney loves to pull the plug on live action Marvel series without any fanfare.

Okay, after my dubious fuckup today, some actual Black Series stuff - got Ward and the new stormtrooper today. Ward is probably the best likeness I've seen of Sigourney in an action figure. The buck is too short, I think, doesn't feel like her physicality, but it's a really good base buck for a pilot and I bet we see a few more people on it. Two quibbles - she only comes with a helmet, no blaster which feels a bit chintzy, and I can't get her helmet on without popping the goggles/visor off which is a PITA. But overall I really like her.

These troopers have found a nice balance - compared to the previous troopers which have the shiny, polished look of fresh off the line, there's a texture to the armor I like a lot. For some reason I'm struggling to pop his head off to put the shoulder pauldron on, though. Might be the first time I've needed to boil and pop a SWBS head. I've only ever really needed head on the occasional stuck foot/heel on this line, but maybe I've been lucky. Also one of the parts of his blaster was glued on badly but I think I can fix that.

I got Ward and the Stormy today too, and I agree- the Sigourney likeness is nice. I still think it looks like she's trying not to let on that she's smelling some rank Bantha poodoo, but overall it looks nice. Definitely interested to see where else they get use out of this body; it was smart of them to go with a body that's juuuust featureless enough to not really indicate any specific gender. Could work for just about anyone, other than maybe Porkins.

I got the Target Exclusive Remnant Stormtrooper in the mail today. I like these dirty, beat-up Troopers leftover from the Empire just trying to get by. All the Original Trilogy Troops are so cool anyways but now add this aspect of them being what's remaining and barely holding on from a fallen Empire, it's the same cool troops with a fun, new story.
