Mattel MOTU Chronicles Movie Figures

You'd think we'd start getting pre orders soon on sites like BBTS and EE for the kids Core and Chronicles line since they have a release date of something like April 25th.

I will say though on Entertainment Earths release calendar the "Drop Zone" there are still 2 Mattel pre order dates for March on the 19th and the 23rd. And then there are 5 Mattel pre order dates in the month of April. So, hopefully one of those

I'm excited about these and I want them yesterday. There should be some YouTube reviews up of all the new figures soon though as I know Paulmart got the new stuff in and is shipping it out.

Paulmart has the Chronicles stuff??

Edit: Ah, just saw they only had He-Man and for 35 bucks. I'll wait.

On He-Mania's Facebook page they said Paulmartstore had the Chronicles and kids stuff in and they even had pictures. I don't know if they just had enough to fulfill pre orders or if they have some in stock now. but apparently, they got it in.

Looking at it, they actually made the post on March 9th. So, it was 5 days ago. If they had any in stock, they may be sold out.

Here's a review of the new He-man:

Apparently he has drop down hips but no thigh swivel. The ball hips look to have some range on the ball, kinda like most new Black Series figures, but those have swivel-hinge knees. I'm not sure I like this too much. The thigh swivels would have been covered by his skirt anyways.

I wish he had some photos next to Marvel Legends, Classified, Black Series etc. I’m curious what these actually scale with, if anything.

Closer than what? Movie He-Man is clearly about half-a-head or more shorter than Revolution He-Man. They definitely don't look like they belong in the same line at all. He's the same height as MOTUC but way slimmer/more proportional.
So I guess the real question is whether or not short king He-Man is more representative of the line, or the taller Tri-Klops is.

Closer than the Marvel Legends or Star Wars Black scale than many were making them out to be.

Uh oh, this is bad (for me) shorter than 7 inches, smaller body bulk. not good.

This got me thinking, whats the best He-man besides 40th anni. and classics?
that REVO armor He-man looks real good in that video?

I don't think so. I absolutely could be wrong, but you may be overstating the size difference between Marvel Legends, at like 6-6.25 inches on average, and Masterverse, which ranged just at about 7".

Certainly, a more proportional, slimmed down MOTU line that tops out around 6.5 inches or so is going to fit in WAY better with Marvel Legends than it will with existing Masterverse figures.

Just grabbing a quick picture that came up almost immediately -- Chronicles seems to be nearly the same height as MOTUC but more proportional/slimmer. Hasbro RoML Thor is like 7" tall. If Chronicles He-Man is the same height as MOTUC Battle Armor He-Man is here, but with more typical normal body proportions, that would put Chronicles He-Man basically right in line with a beefy dude in ML or DCUC. Sounds about like what people were originally describing on their first impressions.

Of course, it would be a lot more helpful if people getting this goddamn figure in hand were at all decent at presenting new figures.

This has literally been exactly what we were told since the figures were announced, though. We were told they were closer to Marvel Legends-size right off the bat.

I would argue that for 'normal' He-Man figures, the Revolution Battle Armor He-Man (which comes with the regular harness as well) is miles away the best one.

Yes, he looks good. revelation He-man is kinda too yellow?
He was, yeah. And his articulation didn't work as smoothly, and his head was noticeably smaller than Revolution. Just general issues Masterverse had early on and ironed out later. So He-Man, as important as he is, remains one of the worst figures they ever made.
