G.I. Joe Classified Series: The Chatty Pointless Thread & Performance Art

Got the rest of the wave today. Night-Viper is really fucking cool, man. He's slimmer than other vipers, ton of great details that make him pop.

Big Lob is an excellent figure. I find his joints a little wonky - like his shoulders feel a bit tight, and I can't tell where the hinges adn swivels are in his ankles? But the swappable hands, the gear, he's just awesome all around.

Mole Rat II I picked up because I guess I kinda do want a very small zombie swarm. Zero surprises on him, very similar to v1, but I did find he's got this odd hip thing I've found with some Hasbro figures latey where the hip joint actually has too much clearance? I don't mind it because it makes for easier posing but he's like the third or forth figures I've had this and it feels like a design intent versus a flaw.

Randomly picked up the SAW Viper as he was on discount on Pulse.

For a figure I wasn't fussed about and likely to pass, it's still such a joy to open and mess about with from the aspect of seeing how well designed he is. I gave him a hot water bath to loosen the joints and did a temporary disassemble so I could see what he was like under the overlays and it's so well figured out to have the arm armour and torso overlay hiding a central piece that's so versatile for reuse.

This is figure 147, and I'm still having this experience with opening random characters that beggars the feeling of opening lines like McFarlane DC Multiverse or MLs, both of which I have large numbers of as well. After a while the basic feeling knowing what to expect wears off with many figure lines, but somehow Classified still makes me pause and think, 'huh, that's pretty neat!'

Just a couple pics I took. Excuse the mess, I have a cat lol.

I got the Firefighter today. Yes, I'm very late to this. But in my defense, these stupid deluxe offerings are very expensive in Canada and I was waiting for a good sale when I also had some money and hadn't bought anything recently. That almost happened.
Anyway.. he was like 30 bucks down from 53, so I'll take it.

Also, true story, the reason I wanted this figure at all is mostly because my grandfather was a firefighter (retired as a fire chief, in fact) and that guy was always someone I viewed as a legit hero. The stuff he went through and really never talked about is wildly depressing. When I saw this figure announced however long ago, I immediately thought of him and knew I'd eventually have to grab it.

Really nice figure, too. Don't have much to add beyond that. Good set of gear, cool figure. Getting the helmet -and- mask on together is a gigantic pain in the balls, though.

Some of the new Wave shipped for me today from Pulse. My 2 Night Vipers and Lifeline. It never matters because I always get my stuff, but whenever Pulse starts getting and shipping new Waves, be it for Marvel Legends, Star Wars Black Series, or GI Joe Classifieds, they always send the figure I want most from the Wave dead last.

Hit and Run has yet to ship. I want Hit and Run the most. This is personal. It's Pulse Personal.

Yeah I see lots of videos on Youtube with people complaining about the price of figures in the US and a part of me is like......."Welcome to our world since the pandemic."

Did you get the Firefighter at EBGames? That's where I managed to snag one for $30 and a second Sniper for $18. The Legacy figures are a bit more plain-jane due to their realism basis but they are just packed so well with accessories that they are a great value at a cheaper price.
